Awesome, better than others I've seen and I have seen a lot.. I thought we need to add a little dark shadow blended in above the eyeliner on the lid though but u don't do that so I will try your suggestion now also I loved how u lined her lids looks so pretty.... Really enjoyed this, she looks beautiful...thank you : )

Wow! How long did it take you from start to finish to do her makeup? I especially like how you did her brows! I also appreciate your comments concerning wearing falsies as I too would feel quite uncomfortable. Jan is already beautiful and I love how you highlighted her already beautiful features!

Thank you! This was my 1 Dr introduction to your videos. Your techniques are amazing. As a former MU artist, and a 79 year old, with white hair, I prefer a soft grey eye shadow on my brows. The warm shades of browns never look right to me. Always “ off” somehow. Try it and see what you think.

Jan is absolutely lovely to begin with but your makeup application has made her stunning! It’s hard to figure out exactly which products to use, how and when and the vast majority of eyeshadows out there (in my experience) are all so shiny or “glittery”. Finding matte eyeshadows that are pretty and don’t involve going into your savings account to purchase them seem like searching for the Holy Grail. Thanks so very much for including those of us who are in our older years. Thanks for understanding that really, no matter what society seems to think or wants to think, we are not invisible. It doesn’t feel very good to experience ageism all too often throughout any given day. Your channel is terrific and you now have another subscriber! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💕

She is an absolutely stunning lady and you did an amazing job on her! It's so easy to make mature skin look terrible as some people think you should just cover everything up as if you're using cement on a wall or something. But you just made her looks like a fresher version of herself, no hiding necessary, just enhancing.

Did she have any pain with that eye cream? Didn’t look like you were tough but wow her eye lids really got red! I love the painterly paint pot!

First, I just want to say that I am impressed by your kind nature. I love how it emerges as respect and appreciation for the beauty of mature women. My favorite from this video is how you made her skin look so smooth and glowing. She is lovely anyway, but you made her stunning. Also, the tip about cleaning off the eyeshadow fallout with moisturizer is amazing!

I'm pushing 70, did stage make up for years, and use a Q -Tip dipped and rolled off in a touch of moisturizer for this under eye and eyelid clean up .The important tip here is to ROLL the Q-Tip gently back and forth with a feather light touch - it barely pulls the delicate skin at all -finish up with the other (dry) end of the Q-Tip !

Jan literally looks like a movie star. She’s a beautiful, beautiful woman!

You are beautiful but to me nothing is prettier than natural look. I used to wear makeup whenever I just stepped out the door, two years ago I started microneedling, that little device changed my skin in a way that I am not wearing makeup any longer. I have tried almost everything to look younger, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements, retin A etc. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 61 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

That is such amazing feedback. I got some comments before that people wanted more close up shots and in depth steps with the model on the screen the whole time so I created this video with those comments in mind. I will definitely make more videos like this one in the future.

This makeover was so awesome! I just turned 72 and this gives me so much hope to help erase so many stresses in my face! We are ranchers and spend a lot of time outside with many no makeup days! I'm so encouraged and purchased everything you had listed! Thanks so much for encouraging me! I'd love to watch many more of these makeovers! You are so gifted, Gabi!

I think she put way too much makeup. I don't know if this is due to culturali differences between American and the French more subtle look.

I definitely relate to what you mean. I am always outside feeding mowing doing hay etc. somehow I gained weight and it is on my face. My makeup I always wore mostly natural anyway but now it looks packed on or I look like a prostitute or something. 😂 I want to feel more natural again!

This transition is fabulous. What a lovely lady.

Thank you for working with mature faces! I get great information from many different sources, but most are geared towards much younger women. I love that your focus was natural and minimalist. This would still be way too much coverage for my personal taste on a daily basis, but for a special event it would be perfect! I find it is reassuring that I am on the right track.

As I get older I feel that the less eyeshadow I wear the better… no matter how light handed I’am or how light the neutral pallet is, great skin care and very light shadow (like you did on Jan) compliments my look and doesn’t weight me down. Great tips.. ty

Thank you so much for that comment! We always question ourselves as artists and I was really hoping that you would see the vision that I had for her here. It was so important that she didn't feel uncomfortable in the application. Light, fresh and flawless! That was always the goal :)

My favourite part was the whole tutorial. I am approaching my 70's and I love wearing makeup but I need a change. I want to get a make-over but I am skeptical that the products are aimed at younger women. This explains what products to use an how each product works for older skin. The finished result is absolutely fantastic. Just what I hope I might look like.

Jan looks fabulous. I am very fair skinned with a lot of redness around my nose and chin. Using concealer and foundation, I could never get it covered up, but lately, I've been using IT color correcting makeup for redness and to my surprise, it completely covers the red and that coverage lasts all day. What I really like about the way you did Jan's make up is the way her skin discolorations are no longer aging her face, without her looking like a clown. It's very easy to drift into that look by piling on more and more stuff. Thanks for this encouragement.
