I like the idea of the spacers and making your splits directly into the 10 frame box vs. a NUC. I assume you make the spacers yourself, what are the dimensions?

@@ZelmaBees hi I'd have to look up the size but all you have to do is basically make it the size of a deep frame I make them with 1/4 inch plywood really simple any more questions please ask. Are you a subscriber ? Thanks again

Hi Vince, this is my first year. I started 4/29 with two local 5 frame nuces in 10 frame hives. Plenty of room, the queen was laying good patterns but only 1 colony kept making queen cups and even a cell in the middle of the frame. I am guessing they were for practice? I nocked them down every week and they stopped after about 5 weeks and are now booming? I never found any eggs in the cells? I am hoping to make it through to next year to do some splits like you. So far so good. I did extract some honey the last few weeks and I am now a lifer. Good luck with your bees. Thanks for the videos.

@@jamestownsendjrtbees3226 sounds great sounds like everything is going really well glad to hear it if you ever have any questions don't hesitate to ask I have a couple of hives that have gone queenless all of a sudden I got them back but still waiting on one to get Queen right all the rest of mine are doing great knock on wood lol

I used a follower board for the first time this year and it worked great.👍
