Could you use either boiled linseed oil on the outside to prevent it drying out, or even bear grease? I have a recipe from the late 1700's that i use that works great as a wood and leather preservative, and a great coating for the outside of firearms and tools.

Best channel on YT. PLZ tell us youre going to take us on your moose hunt this year?? Do a segment like beaver Camp - Moose camp! Would be nice to see what goes into breaking down a Moose after you shoot it. You've never done a video on your 25-06 right? Might be an eye-opener for all those guys that think you need a howitzer To shoot a Canadian moose!

TheWildNorth you too brother!
You could sell a few of those to make a few extra bucks I bet. "Authentic native hand made birch moose call". Bet you'd get a hundred bucks plus shipping for it off eBay. Something to think about between trapping seasons.
Interesting video andrew nice call there bud we want to hear a demo of the moose call

Nice work Andrew . Thank you for posting I've never seen someone peeling a birch bark before , just read about it . Charlie wasn't laying on the job , just lying in wait ...in case a bear showed up lol . In the Webster dictionary under the word " Lucky Dog " is a pict of Charlie Boy lol . 👍👍

TheWildNorth It diffidently did , thanks for explaining the whole procedure!
Hi Andrew: Interesting preparation, going to get the moose drooling. Brian 77
Looks good, if u do a hunting video, will u also do another processing and preserving and smoking the moose meat? Thanks again.
When does the season open there??
Could you use either boiled linseed oil on the outside to prevent it drying out, or even bear grease? I have a recipe from the late 1700's that i use that works great as a wood and leather preservative, and a great coating for the outside of firearms and tools.
Cant wait till trapping , love to go with Andrew trapping
Hi nice job done buddy
