Any idea on how to do this using Resolve?
6 years later and I still come back to this video to re-save my preset every time premiere does an update!
Great start...
This is one of the best tutorials I've ever seen: I'm an old fart just playin' around but serious about learning how to do what crops-up in my head. This is the most worthwhile, no nonsense, emphatically done, and easily understood -- pay attention! -- 8:42s I've spent in months. Thank you, Gerald; very well done.
I never realised how much work you youtube guys put into these videos. Thank you for the insight!

Great! I hope it works well. Thanks for the comment. Cheers!
thanks so much for this tutorial. I just recently got hired by a company that was impressed by my personal videos and style. It's a whole new learning experience because this hasn't been a primary profession, but now it is. Trying to absorb as much as I can and this video is amazing. Keep up the great work!
You're probably the one KZreadr that I've learned from the most... Thanks for sharing.
Holy crap, this works so well! Thank you for the tip.
This was a super simple and easy tutorial that made a big immediate difference for me. Thanks for putting it out there!
This was actually really helpful. I was looking into how to completely separate the vocals from a song and lower them, but this was exactly what I needed even though I didn't know it, thanks a ton!

Awesome to hear! Glad it was helpful. Thanks for saying so. Cheers!
This video is GREAT! I've been noticing, in my quest for better audio, that GREAT audio is the product of many, many marginal improvements over a good original capture. This is yet another fantastic marginal improvement that, in combination with many other things (both audio and visual) will yield better videos. You're doing the lords work, sir, and my hat is off to you.
This is super helpful. Thanks Gerald!
thanks man! I searched for this and seeing your face was such a relief coz I know that your video is gonna be dope as always!!!
This man just changed my content creation journey FOREVER!!! THANK YOU!

Thanks for this! Def needed to watch this :)
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! You can compensate the lack of editing or video quality with good sound. But you can't compensate for bad audio in streams and videos! If you look at this videos i make, I use the lower the music volume technique, which really sucks! Can't wait to use this on my next video!! Thank you so much, you earned a new SUB and i liked the video 3 times!
Your audio series is phenomenal, a tremendous help, with clarity and expertise. I'm new to Premier Pro as well as the nuances of video and audio tweaking, and you have made learning the necessary skills very attainable. Thank you.

Dude! I know this is a few years old, BUT exactly what I needed. Hilarious intro...Whatever.you did the KZread Algo made it work! I actaully use FCPX and used their Built in Voice and Music EQ and messed the options in there to fix my music to Voiceover Ratio. Super easy and now I saved it as a preset and can quickly add to all my projects. Subbed!
