Make Your Shavers Last 3x Longer By Keeping Them Dry - Grant Zabriskie

Ойын-сауық

How I made a $20 Costco-size box of 52 disposable razors last for 3 years while still shaving every day. That's less than $0.02 a day to shave. Every shaving man should know this trick!

I'm definitely gonna try this out. For me, a box of 52 razors will already last 3 years with the amount of facial hair I grow and how often I shave. This would make it last 6 years even!

I will try that I live. In the Philippines now but when I go home to Canada I usually buy a box. It gets expensive when you shave every other day, keep it dry .

Imma try it out! I noticed too that the Aloe Strip wears out after a week of using it when freaked me out but i never noticed it cutting me with or without one.

Great video! More guys and gals need to know the tricks. Also using jeans to hone the razor, too.

Rubbing on Jeans or on hand also further increases life of blades/ razors 😊. It works

Put it in baby oil after drying .

You are sort-of correct but not exactly. It is the water on the steel that oxidizes with the air that causes tiny bits of rust to form on the blade. Drying the blade can certainly slow down the oxidation process but I found that leaving the razor submerged in soap water between shaves made the razor last even longer than drying the razor off.

bojo perez I never experimented with olive oil. Maybe oil is better. I mixed Seventh Generation liquid dish soap with water and got surprisingly good results.

bojo perez I did not experiment with other dish soaps. I only know what worked for me. The key principle is that you want to keep the blades away from the open air and at the same time get the salt and gunk cleaned off the blades that got transferred from your face. Try some other soaps. If they don’t work well, then try Seventh Generation. Try olive oil if Seventh Generation does not work for you. Good luck!

bojo perez I don’t know where you live but it is relatively easy to buy in the USA. I have seen Seventh Generation liquid dish soap on store shelves of Star Market (a grocery store chain) and you can order a pack of 6 bottles on amazon.com for about $18. You only need a little bit of soap to mix with the water in order to clean your blades. I also clean my steel watches with this stuff and the results are outstanding!
