To make this suitcase I used double-channel cardboard and advertising paper.
You know that I am in love with the romantic style and the pastel colors, so the deccoration of the suitcase could not be of any other style than the Shabbi Chic
The materials I have used are:
Double channel cardboard
Foam board
Compact cardboard of 1mm (it is the typical one used for cartonage)
Advertising Papers
White glue
cold silicone
Hot Silicone
Transfer glue
masking tape
Acrylic paint, in my case I used Chalk paint
Pieces of wood 0.5cm thick
One handle, 2 locks and 2 hinges
Adhesive vinyl paper for inside

Your suitcase is beautiful and I love Paris ! My bedroom has a Paris theme and that’s why I watched your video .I just warn you against using hot glue . It breaks down and causes anything you used it on to weaken or fall apart . I have seen it happen to many many of my artist friends for years . Thank you for sharing and inspiring me .

Hot glue will also separate in cold. So I would also recommend a different adhesive if you are actually going to travel with the case.

how do you get it so when you paint over the newspaper its smooth and you don't see all the edges of the pieces of paper??? I've been discouraged with paper mache because km such a perfectionist and HATE being able to see all the little edges all over
