I used catnip and feverfew with cinnamon and honey but they were STRONG LOL. That feverfew is VERY bitter. Valerian is fantastic. I use them in capsules now because the feverfew really is overwhelming. I also use the red clover and it’s excellent, especially for my “personal summers.” It’s very tasty too. This was a fantastic video. You are always the bestest! TFS Love, hugs and blessings ~ The Kid ♥️

@@robinsnest68 I only listened to her because she sometimes has information I need. When I find someone who has a Christian world view, I watch their channel, too. After all, God is the one who gave us what we have around us to use for our benefit and they acknowledge that. I also learn from people who don't have a view one way or the other if they have some information I need that someone else didn't mention. If the language is really bad I just have to cut them off and find what I need elsewhere. She does mention things that work well together that others might not.

Crazy less than 10,000 saw this video, I sure learned a lot. Il be picking up a hardcopy book too what a great idea! Thank you for the helpful information.
My favorite blend is Chocolate mint and Stevia Leaves Tea! I grew Stevia for the first time and I loved it. I am enjoying it a lot in the evening when it is so cold and I don't want caffeine. In the summer I will grab a handful of my favorite herbs and a few Stevia leaves. I crush with my hands. Put in a quart mason jar and put in the sun. Strain, refrigerate and drink cold! Yum!! Great information and books. Rhonda
How nice Heidi, for sharing what you use to have Herbal teas. Awe look at that cute face (Cody) he is just do adorable. Thank you Heidi to including him; as I just love seeing him. Heidi I have been using calendula oil on my husbands eczema mixed with coconut raw oil and it seams like it is cleaning up the rash. Thank you Heidi; for another great video on herbal tea's and health benefits Heidi, I always learn something from you. I don't do many blends; but just might have to give them a try.
Thank you, Heidi!
I have several organic teas. I did drink hot tea a lot, not sure why I'm not into it here lately except every once in a while. I never thought to make my own tea blends, so thanks for all the information on that incase I decide to give it a whirl. I do have a few good books on herbs, tinctures etc. God bless and thanks so much for this.
Loved the video! I find myself lacking in knowledge in this area. I need to study how you dry your herbs, where to buy what you don't grow etc. I will watch more of your playlists in this area. Thank you!
I got the medicinal herbs book and the herbal companion book. Since I'm just starting and don't have any plants yet I ordered dried catnip and dried spearmint...I couldn't find mojito mint. Looking forward to a tea with these two and a spoonful of glory bee blackberry honey. Sounds yummy!
Rosemary Gladstar has a headache tea blend that is equal parts lemon balm, lavender and feverfew. It does not taste good, but I have some on hand for bad headaches. It definitely works for me.
Another great and informative video, Heidi!

You read my mind Heidi❤I was just planning my herb garden. I love tea ☕❤ I have ordered fancy tea blends but they are so expensive. You are right to tell people to do their research and be careful. I found with dandelion used for liver cleanses gives me heartburn. Also unfortunately mint gives me heartburn😢 apparently mint can soften the esophagus reflux and cause heartburn for some. So happy l found this. I love teas a lot and have been buying the ready made ones but now i want to make mine using herbs. Please can you suggest a good blend for high blood pressure and high cholesterol, Thank you
This is exactly my style as well. I get what I think I would like and what sounds good to me. I use a lot of information that I have gathered from various people who do the same thing as well as take notice of what is growing at the same time. God puts things here for various purposes. Example: the ragweed grows with the golden rod, it’s the ragweed that people are allergic to and it is the golden rod with which you can draw and make tea or make fresh tea to aid in the allergy symptoms. I like to harvest these sweet little wild violets along with the dandelion in order to blend the two for a tea. God‘s creation is so plentiful and gives us a blank slate with which to expand upon. 🙏🕊🙏
I like chaga tea mixed with wild chickory root. The chickory root adds a creamy texture and improves chagas taste. Many health benefits too. Plus chagas appetite suppressence with energy boost makes it the ultimate sports drink. I make a cold blend to consume on foraging hikes.

That is a wonderful tea
Since quitting coffee as a daily habit, I've been experimenting with teas a lot. I get the herbs in bulk from Frontier or Starwest. Right now I have one of those cups with a strainer insert and can change it up with each cup. Here are some of my favorite combos: For stress: I add mostly chamomile, then a little passion flower (tastes like bland leaves so I can't do it alone, haha), and the tiniest pinch of lavendar. I can feel my stress release just smelling it. For taking care of my liver: I do mostly Holy basil (not good for the pregnant) and milk thistle seed. I'll also do a decoction of dandelion root, and make a haymaker tea/electrolyte drink from the dandelion tea. I also Looove hibiscus and ginger together. Yum!

What is Hibiscus tea good for?
My tea routine is to heat up water, pour it over the strainer with the tea blend in it. Then I move it to the stove which has a burner just to keep things hot/warm. My tea is ready any time of the day. Before I had a fancier stove, I use to use a candle warmer - works just a well. 🍵 🫖
I mostly drink mint with what I feel like; sage, oregano, catnip are my standard. Some evenings I put hawthorn in my mint, sometimes just a blend of different mint. Though I have a lot of other herbs, just not feeling them most times. Then I have a day when cloves, allspice and some other "exotic" ingredient is the right thing😊 Should make some oat straw infusion again......

I love that you make sure to emphasize that people make sure what's safe for them. 🌸 I don't know how many times I've been someplace and had conversations with others about herbs and homeopathic healing only to be concerned and horrified by their lack of real knowledge. 1 woman was actually taking a concoction containing digitalis IE foxglove yet was also taking meds from her doctor. I told her to talk to her doctor about all herbal things she's ingesting. I've had similar conversations with too many people. Heads up about fire cider(FC) and prescription drugs. I spoke to my doctor about mixing my meds with fire cider, he told me it's not a good idea to take any meds prescription or otherwise within 2 hours of drinking FC . He told me most meds are designed to dissolve in the small intestine that the acidity and heat of FC would more than likely cause meds to dissolve in the stomach rendering them less effective and possibly cause injury to the stomach and esophagus lining. ALWAYS. BEFORE using any home remedies, no matter how innocuous they seem talk to your doctor about it. Don't rely on hearsay on KZread or reading online articles alone your doctor is trained to know. Speaking to your pharmacist is good idea too. They know meds better than even doctors and have huge databases available to them. It's their job to help don't be shy about using their knowledge.
@RainCountryHomestead

I would clarify that some doctors, not all, might be trained to know when it comes to herbs but even then, only about the negative reaction of herbs with medicines as their main focus and education is in pharmaceuticals. So yes, if people are on medications, they should talk to their doctor but I still suggest doing their own research as well. Doctors are more about promoting their own drugs while down playing natural medicines. I think of our own doctors that told us we would have to be on thyroid meds for life because that is what they believed, yet it was absolutely not true. That is pretty shocking about that lady and the digitalis,. Fox glove grows wild all over around here and locals know it is best to just not even touch it with bare hands or to at least wash well after doing so.

@@RainCountryHomestead oh, I agree with what you said about doctors. . I know first hand how they miss things, over medicate etc. Some are so busy they just shut down their feelings, especially those working in hospitals. ☺ I broke my neck and back was a quadriplegic for couple years. I was told I'd be bed ridden for the rest of my life. Then they started trying to throw drugs at me. I'm glad to say I'm fully ambulatory, functional etc today DESPITE their dire predictions. I was also lucky enough to have a pain doctor who understood natural healing and pointed me towards information and people who practice it. Unfortunately, I can't get off of 2 meds for my nerve damage but I know to never just put anything into my body without researching first. HECK, even some herbs shouldn't be mixed together
@iheartherbs

Your doctor does not have your best interests for natural health. Doctors are glorified drug dealers and know very little about using herbs to improve health because herbs don't write him checks like big pharma does. If you're not suppose to mix certain foods or herbs with a particular medication, usually means if you took just the natural remedy that is your cure but both together is too much. Believe it or not foxglove is used to benefit heart health although they say the opposite about it. The medical industrial complex has been infiltrated by big pharma. Lastly, pharmaceuticals are NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF DEATH.
nice 😊

Get an herbal encyclopedia and reference that for which herb is best for which ailment and then if you're considering adding other herbs or flavors make sure they don't contradict one another. For instance, if you're looking to make a tea that helps you get rest and relaxation, you don't want to add something that will cause restlessness or give you energy. Always be mindful and make sure your information is correct.

so people have called certain species of plants "tea", that alone does not mean they are teas and nothing else. tea is an infusion whether herbal or seed. yes seed, the vaunted "coffee" is tea. to what processes you go through to make tea is a matter of choice. why are you drinking the tea; habit.... addiction, both are subjects in and of themselves. I have found that different processes bring out different qualities in the teas
