A great experiment, and another great video, as always! I was curious, however- with the constant feeding of hatched brine shrimp, do you have to change the water more frequently to keep the tanks or tubs from getting too saline? I understand that brine shrimp need certain parameters to hatch so was curious how it worked.
@HawaiiHobbyist

Hello. There are many videos on brine shrimp. But,basically, I pour the brine shrimp into a net. Then run fresh water over the shrimp to rinse them off. Then I feed the guppies.

Very interesting experiment. I guess most fish breeders would agree that BBS is the best food for fish fry. However, I certainly didn't expect such a difference in growth rates. The experiment would have been even better if BBS would have been compared to leading fry food brands such as Hikari First Bites.

Ideally, how many tanks should a guppy breeder have for just one guppy type? (for fry, quarantine, male/female etc.).
@HawaiiHobbyist
Жыл бұрын
In general, you'll need tanks for: Tank 1: Breeding. Tank 2: Growing out babies until you are able tell male and female apart. Tank 3: Grow out Males. Tank 4: Grow out Females. Can also have tanks for quarantine and culls. Good luck!
