Home automation is amazing, I recently installed somfy to control my balcony zip track blinds and living as well as dining room blinds. I particular love the scenes and pre setting the automation to suit when i want them open, how low/ high the blinds should be for privacy. Love it! Now i am dying the see the home tour! Bring it on!

Looks great! I also love the fact that you can use your existing curtains, much more environmentally friendly. What about privacy though? How do I ensure that my data is staying inside MY home and not being sent over to some tech company - or Somfy for that matter?

Check their privacy policy. But considering it only connects to your wifi so it can talk to the motors you’ll probably be sharing more data with your KZread / google account here. ⚡️

@@Huntingforgeorge Will do. I'm trying to limit my data sharing in all aspects of my life, so adding another one is something to consider. Having said that, there is a difference between a service I use for free that collects my data and a product I pay for that collects my data. Hopefully consumers will be more aware of their data sharing in the future and companies will design products accordingly.

Not very noticeable. Quick enough to not be a bother.
