The only way they’ll actually sound better is if you do the actual custom audio setup option which is a hearing test.

I noticed that this option damages the sound quality of the AirPods overtime if change from slight to moderate

I compared the sq between airpods and sennheisser TWS momentum 3 and the winner is the senn. So I bought it over airpods.

I mean, that’s the point of this setting, without it, the bass is too loud and you can’t hear all the sounds that a music contains, you should try moderate or if you are bass freak, just leave it as it were before

I recommend doing the custom audio setup for a few times until you find the best sound to your ears. Also, keep “Balanced Tone” checked and the slider on Slight. Anything above these settings makes the high frequencies too dominant which kills the bass. In this way, you can keep enjoying the bass with a clearer sound. After this setting, I can actually hear more details in the songs.

This sounds so bad and harsh lol the average person doesn’t have a trained ear for music so generally most people think “Louder” sounds better.

I like mine how they sound now I use Spotify and I edit the playback in the app so it be hitting already

The quality went from awesome to horrible and the bass too

Didn’t do shit my AirPods got lower in volume right after cleaning and now I can’t fix it, I tried to reset it but now both of my AirPods won’t connect at the same time
