I don’t think this is the best for dry skin. I used it today with a thick moisturizer and I think it worked so much better!!!

I wore it today for the first time and fell in love. I loved the original but I prefer this formula better. I love how it wears throughout the day & I have super dry skin. I used a hydrating primer and setting spray and it was so comfortable to wear.

Hm.. my fav “contour” is westman Atelier Biscuit, and cream bronzer probably tom ford shade and Illuminate❤️

I love satin matte it’s my fav finish

I personally like the Kosas because I like a glowy foundation, but this one is more blurring and lasts longer! I wore it today with a really moisturizing primer and it is amazing! If you are looking for a more matte finish that lasts a long time this is a good one!!

I used to love the original and the glow it had so a bit sad it has lost that but it does seem to wear beautifully on you. Maybe I will try it.

I think many people feel very similar to you. Mostly people with dry skin!

I love this foundation is my favorite and this is very similar to the Loreal super blendable foundation which is my drug store fave.

I haven’t tried the L’oreal one. I haven’t tried any of their foundations in a long time. L’Oreal used to be my go to drugstore foundation.

Looks great on you. I feel like they took what dry skin lovers need and enjoy out of the old version to make this new formula. I just don’t think this would work for my dry/dehydrated skin so I will be passing. The ultra hd was HG status for me and I have various shades for any time of year and I will be sad when I am out for good. Would have been nice to see them keep the ultra hd along with bringing this one out seeing as it is marketed for different skin types and finishes 🤷🏼‍♀️ Packaging is an upgrade though, love the look of the new bottle! Also, that lip colour on you is fantastic!!!

@@TaniaBWells my god, this one got away from me, Im so so sorry. Thank you for the response, it always seems so special when you respond and I know the effort that goes into doing so. So far Ive tried 1. Hourglass vanish 2. Tarte creamy shape tape So far, no success. The remaining ones on my list shade and formula wise that seem to fit my needs are, Dior forever Mufe HD Rare (maybe. The tester was sooo dried out) Lancome teint Loreal Accord Parfait Nyx Bare with me Its complicated because it needs to have coverage as its what does all the work on a daily basis (im a no makeup makeup person amd at most tinted spf or my chanel water fresh tint), but not so much that it cant be worn without a medium coverage foundation. I want it to fuse with skin, cannot sit on top or be matte and fixed lile the hourglass. It needs to be flexible and indistinguishable from my skin as I use it on undereyes, nose and chin. I ask for the sun and moon, I know hahaha but Im confident I can replace my discontinued old faithful🙄🥴

I do like it more today! I used it for my date night and used a really thick moisturizer and it looks really really good!!

Thank you for this review. I love Make Up Forever. My skin is very dry so this isn’t for me. I also noticed my shade is not even an option anymore. Your makeup looks great. You and your husband are such a cute couple.

Yeah, if you have dry skin I would not go for this one! The Kosas one is so much better for dry skin, or the Chanel one😍

The same thing happened to the swatch I put on my arm in store - it wouldn't wipe off! That's how I knew it was going to be water and sweat resistant :) I had to wash it off my arm with oil cleanser at home

I fell in love with this foundation on first application which is very rare, only got to use it 3 times to now try to find a darker shade since I started tanning which has been really hard and went with 2N22 now watching this video again it’s prob going to be way to dark, so hope I can mix it with my pale ghost shade I have to lighten up the new shade YIKES shade matching is so very hard and spendy !!

@@TaniaBWells I know!!! A lot of influencers are saying that it’s still going to be available and it’s not! I could never find the right shade in the original formula. The article also says they worked on the shade shade and added in true neutral and rosy tones and looking at the new shades I agree with that. I love ❤️ how this foundation looks on you, it’s beautiful! I think I ordered the wrong shade though 😔 I went with a few shades darker than the one you applied and I’m thinking I should have waited to watch your review and then purchased.

I would rather have my foundation look good right from the start vs it looking better hours after. Do you think you could get this foundation to look good right away if you prepped the skin differently? If so, how would you go about that? I have a skin tint I like to wear from Nars for everyday use but I would like to find a medium coverage for when I wear a more glam look.

I have the skin tint from Nars and I love it!! Do you have more fry skin? I wore the foundation today and used the JLo cream under it and the CT hollywood flawless and it looked good right from the start. If you do have dry skin I think there are better options out there!

I definitely have to try this. Im just worried about the match 🤔

I would try the lighter one first. This foundation dries down a shade or two darker than initial application.

I agree with Crystal!! Go lighter because the foundation dries darker and overall it seems to pull darker than the name suggests!!

Yeah, i think it’s third one in the ingredient list. I don’t have an issue with it personally but I do know some people are sensitive to that!

Occasional use of products containing lots of alcohol is okay, but for people like me with moderate rosacea, it could cause damage to the skin with daily use. Thanks for sharing!
