For me this is a bit of a game changer for this little camera. Luckily I had all the pieces except for the step up ring. With the ring, the VND filter and the wide angle lens this little camera is just right for your day to day vlogging. Now to just add a better mic and you are good to go! Thoughts? OMG😮😮😮😮this video was perfect for me ....I have advanced from my cannon sx740 hs . Just purchased the zv-1f and knew that I want wider footage but the price of this camera is better right now for me. But then comes you vid!!!!! I wish i had thought of that. I used a circular polarizing filter on the ulanzi wide angle adapter. Like u would normally use a filter and u can see the bezel. With stablization on u wont see it but if you dont keep the camera steady u will see it.

Do you know how to adjust the settings (VZ-1) from using the built-in microphone vs adding a 3.5 inch wired or wireless Rode/lav mic?

This seems great, but how does it look when walking and vlogging using the active stabe and this lens adapter? Why doesn't Sony make a ZV1fmk2 version, with wider lens and better focus system? I would only get a zvif if it was on really good offer, otherwise a go pro would probably be a better and cheaper option. Maybe you could post a walk vlogging test. Studio stuff is not real world use.

Can remote record/pause/stop be added?

Can I connect Bluetooth mic to them?

I recently took my new ZV1F and the accesory grip to Bangkok and vlogged there. My first reaction was that it's not wide enough (active stabilization turned on). So my next move was going to be to get the DJI RS3 Mini gimbal, and shoot without active stabilization to eliminate the crop. I was going to get the gimbal anyway to step up my game. Then youtube suggested your video. I wonder if your wide angle setup will be substantially wider than the camera+gimbal option.

Yes it can be done, did it, and returned that lens right away, if you like distortion, Sony will require to simply make a ZV-2F wit ha 12mm lens and problem solved

ive used the ZV-1 with the Ulanzi lens for over a year now and its been great. sure there's a bit of distortion, but if you are on a budget this is a great way to get the lens wider. plus now you have a VND filter to help. Ill do a follow up video and shoot the whole video with this setup.

You're mistaken. The ZV1f works just fine with Catalyst Browse.

both the “US” and “CAD” links lead to the amazon product that you were referring to. Not the amazon search for the product at all. The amazon link that was shown also shows that the Smallest possible diameter for the Vnd filter is at 43mm. Maybe next time clarify that the zv1f lens is 40.5mm instead of showing a link that leads to the smallest possible size being 43mm?@@gregtoope
