My whole Air Force career, we lived my the idea of three Fs. Form, Fit, Function. Your work, everything I've seen over the last few years, use the idea to a tee. Great vid, as always.

That's because there have been floods on one side of Koln and an explosion on the other side. There's no telling what's next, but when it happens she'll be ready and have lots of people lining up to be her new best friends.

Have you seen the flooding in Germany lately? The rules dictate that - even if you're going for a day hike, pack enough to survive for 3 days. Going on a camping weekend? Pack enough to survive for 2 weeks.

@@paulgrieger8182 I am German. And I also tend to pack twice the amount of stuff than I need. But I have more lightweight stuff and not as robust than Laura‘s cases.

The bungee cord removable shelf is brilliant.

If I was doing that I would have put small finger holes on the shelf to be able to lift it up, maybe something to 'lock' it in place. I would not have built a big handle in the middle. It takes up space & limits what the top half can be used for. I def would not have put bungee cords on it. I agree with her about everyone making their own to suit their needs. This is how she wanted hers. Cool.

Cool ideas. One tip, put a strip of leather between the two sides of the axe sheath on the edge where the sharpened edge off the axe is. That way the axe won't slip between the two pieces and cut the thread, it will hit the strip of leather instead.

In the UK our food delivery companies use stacking plastic trays. Because they're so modular and shallow it's easier to put gear in those and keep camp tidy. I have one heavy duty plastic box (which also stacks!) Which is relatively critter proof (the squirrels can be a menace with breaded products). My axe and saw are always both stored inside a box to keep it safe from kids and stop it getting wet.

Hey Laura. cool build! i love all of your innovative ides! we all stray to get better so i just want to come with an Pro tips from an former leather worker: When you do your stitching (in Sweden we call it shomakersseme(Skomakarsömm) you should cross the needles in the hole to make sure you dont hit the stitch from before. You can also use a edge iron to make a shallow channel for the stitching to sit in to make it look more neat. When you do markings in leather you should wet the leather before to make it more permanent. Keep up the good work! regards from a Swedish DIY believer
