MAKE THE MOST OF THE RAINY SEASON 6241A

It is the "low season" for tourists in the Philippines where one can find special deals on travel, hotels, and resorts, and the "wet season" SW Monsoons where they usually get more rain from June to November. Don't let the word monsoon scare you away because most days with rain only lasts 20-45 minutes and then life goes on.

Growing up in South Florida I had a Honda 70 motorcycle at 8 years old. I rode it every day and I was far from home by myself in the Everglades. Would be home for dinner at 6pm then do it again the next day. We had long guns, horses, dune buggys and lots of friends to play with. We were very happy and luckily. I would like to retired in the Philippines soon. Thanks for the video.

Back in the "good old days" Mark. I appreciate some of that freedom that still exists in the Philippines.

My biggest concern while walking in weather like that was unseen holes. I frequently used a stick to check where I was stepping to make sure there was a sidewalk there.

I know the problem John. I have walked through flooded streets and sidewalks not knowing what was ahead of me. Very dangerous.

The rain has brought some cooler temps, not as hot as the past months. Here in Bohol we were in a severe drought during March and April. Well the govt started cloud seeding at the beginning of June, which is kinda odd being that it is the start of the rainy season. But some conservation groups said the water levels are still low so do more cloud seeding.

I took the ferry from Pinay Island to Negros Island and Negros Island to Cebu Island. They cancel the ferries regularly during high winds, due to high waves. I finally jumped onboard and realized why it was getting cancelled. They passed out vomit bags and the boat rocked so much people got sick. It seems it is common around Negros Island.

The rain does not bother me..I actually find it relaxing and refreshing and I love the smell of rain.. the rain does make me horny and that is always fun with my Filipino fiance/wife..hehe..that is also why I have a big screen smart TV and a Blu-ray DVD player.. that is also why they have Malls and indoor swimming pools.. there is always an option my friend.. lots of times if I am stuck inside because of heat or the rain I put on some good blues music and cook up a big pot of south Louisiana comfort soul food and have me a few mixed drinks while I am cooking and tapping to the beat of the blues music..that is why the Lord gave us an imagination so we can always come up with a fun option..👍🥂👙😁🏝️🏖️🍺🍻🤗😎🐊👍👍..ps.. can always lay back in my recliner chair and watch the KZread channel, Amazing Philippines, on my big screen smart TV.. I think I know that guy's name is Rod and he is a great guy with always interesting videos👍👍👌👌👍👍
