I make and restore leather products in my spare time, mostly bags, backpacks and small items like wallets and card-holders. I am still learning a ton every time I take on a new project and always appreciate feedback on my creations.
For the moment I don't take orders as I like to spend too many hours getting the finished product as good as I can : this means that if I were to sell these bags, the selling price would be way more than the bags are worth due to the hours of work involved.
As always, do let me know what you think of this video. If you have any tips or comments please let me know by dropping a comment below this video :)

I'm loving it! It's really useful especially if juggling between several cameras.

I loved the process, it looks amazing. I'm absolutely not an expert about working with leather but I think that an improvement could be a smooth lining of the side in contact with skin just where it would create some friction with the back of your neck. During long walks cameras tend to swing around your neck and leather straps can cause some irritation. Keep it going, this channel is definitely underrated

Thanks for the message. Indeed lining the piece would be a great next step and would definitely help keep this strap going for much longer! That being said, the backside of the leather I chose is very soft so it's already quite comfortable, and adding the piece of fabric could mean a LOT of stitching by hand if you don't have a machine - and this would make the project considerably more daunting to make. That being said, when I do eventually get a sewing machine I'll probably do more straps like this but with an added liner :)

Where do you buy plain leather straps like that? Or did you cut it yourself?

Thank you! There are tons of choices on Etsy, just make sure you're getting vegetable tanned leather at least 1,4mm thick.

Please don't use hot creaser in cutting mat... Use Marble slab or Toughened Glass
