Are you a friend of Jesus? People who believe in Jesus believe that Jesus is everyone`s friend. The actual truth, (according to Jesus,) is that to be a person who Jesus accepts as a friend, that person MUST obey the commandments that Jesus gave. John 15:14. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. According to the above statement (verse) by Jesus, a person MUST keep His commandments to remain a friend of Jesus. Therefore, the person who does not keep the commandments given by Jesus, is NOT His friend. The Lord Jesus Christ gave three commandments: 1: Water baptism. 2: Communion - The Lord`s Supper. 3: Foot washing. 1: Water baptism: Matthew 28:19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, BAPTIZING THEM in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. 2: Communion: Luke 22:19 + 20. 19. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20. Furthermore, to “Abide in the Love of Jesus” a person MUST keep His commandments: John 15:9 + 10. 9. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: CONTINUE YE IN MY LOVE. 10. IF YE KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, YE SHALL ABIDE IN MY LOVE, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. To be a “Friend of Jesus” and to “Abide in His Love” a person MUST keep the three commandments which Jesus left for us. If as man loves the Lord, that man will keep the Lord`s commandments: 1 John 5:3. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. “Grievous” = Dreadful, terrible, awful, painful, agonizing, hurtful. The Lord`s commandments are not difficult, rather, they are easy to do. The Lord Jesus Christ died on a Cross for you, does He ask too much of you?

According to the Word of God, for the Blood of Jesus Christ to “Cleanse a man from all sin” the man MUST “Walk in the light”….. I was going to suggest this for our youth at church but the bridge is very problematic. When you completely do away with tradition and religion you end up with people like David Koresh and Jim Jones. Bummer...
