Basically a loc retwist. Be careful with this. If your hair is thin, it may not be strong enough to support the weight of the synthetic hair once twisted and it can cause breakage or random tiny bald spots. If it is thick, or course, it may actually loc depending on how long u keep them in. Be safe out there!☺️

I do my own braids and because I spritz with aloe Vera/water weekly the braids slip sometimes so I usually refresh and moisturize by removing the entire braid and seal with Shea butter but I don’t do them all on the same day. I’ve been able to retain a lot of growth by doing this.

The end result is everything & the fact that you didn't even re-braid your perimeter braids is even better 🙌🏽💯 My edges just don't cooperate with me but I'll definitely try this out when I get my braids again this week - thanks for sharing Love ❤

I’ve been working out and I can’t imagine wetting my hair but not cleansing with shampoo. I definitely need to try the twisting with gel, especially since I just washed my braids yesterday and the edges look a mess.
