Patreese right my edges cuss and fight back.
Basically a loc retwist. Be careful with this. If your hair is thin, it may not be strong enough to support the weight of the synthetic hair once twisted and it can cause breakage or random tiny bald spots. If it is thick, or course, it may actually loc depending on how long u keep them in. Be safe out there!☺️

How did you dry the braids afterwards? Air dry?
I wouldn’t recommend doing this more than once in between retwist . You don’t want you hair to lock underneath. This style will be good for one month. Then after that go get your hair refreshed. Love the video.!! ❤️

Huh? I’ve had braids in for months at a time and my hair doesn’t loc. Your hair ain’t gone loc unless it’s matted or you actually put beeswax or something in it. It ain’t gone loc in no box braids.

Beautiful braids my only concern is it seems that can weaken the hairline I would love to try that but my edges already thin but people with thicker hair should be fine BUT BE CAREFUL not to retwist it to often

Pearl Woodson Not if you soak them in scalp oil for a bit then use them... this eliminates breakage.
Exactly what i do do my braids, i DO use shampoo, conditioner, and leave in though. Gel to twist the roots and clips to hold them. Sit under the dryer then oil my scalp and apply oil sheen. Works like a charm! I have my braids for at minimum another 2 weeks.

I use to do this years ago and I think this made my hair fall out. My hair is fine though and I didn’t moisturize it or wash it like you did so that probably had something to do with falling out also.

I do my own braids and because I spritz with aloe Vera/water weekly the braids slip sometimes so I usually refresh and moisturize by removing the entire braid and seal with Shea butter but I don’t do them all on the same day. I’ve been able to retain a lot of growth by doing this.

My hair used to fall out too. I think the braids were too tight and I wasn't moisturizing hair while braided. I now braid my own hair and don't do it too tight and I spray my scalp to keep moisture while hair is braided.

Perfect timing for this vid..just took out my box braids last week because I can only go bout 2 wks with them in before I need to either wash my hair or redo perimeter. I'm getting them redone this week & now I know how to refresh them without having to take them out completely. Also I found some great protective styling products in Walmart by Dark & Lovely. They have a cleansing water, tension tamer serum, & detangle cream that I've been using to help refresh my braids.
Your braids look this good in one month🤯, that's how my braid look in one to two weeks, and with me using a scarf at night.
Thank you so much!!! I always feel like your videos have stuff that no other channel has

Girl these are my first box braids I've ever had and this video has saved my life
My hair looks like this after 2 weeks!! I JUST said I need to refresh my front & BOOM you posted a how to video 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
This is exactly what I do but I just use edge control instead... I’ve learned (since I don’t braid my own hair) that each braid twists in a different direction, like when you twist them you can feel the tension and if it’s too tight try twisting it in the opposite direction
I’m pretty shook. Those look like freshly done braids. Using this my next cowash day. Gracias!
I LOVE IT! Deff gonna do this to the faux locs I have in now. Thanks ☺️
