    John, this video along with your perfect defense video are in my opinion your two best videos on your channel so far. You took one of what I now like to call a “core concept”, broke it down exceptionally well (as expected lol), and explained it in an easily digestible and accessible manner without making the video too long. Because don’t get me wrong, I personally really enjoy your longer videos because I learn a lot, but I think this is the type of content which if you put out more consistently will definitely make your channel blow up. Reason being that most people nowadays don’t have the attention span to watch the longer videos (think tiktok culture where everything is like a 10 second video). But either way, much love brother and keep up the hard work! 👍🏽

    Yes bro totally understand. My goal isn't to appeal to the tik tok style content tbh, longer form helps grow my livestream. The problem is my goal is to create longer form content and dive as deep as I can but have to find and create my audience. But you're 100% correct I'll make spin off videos like this to drive engagement. I do these every week or so. My goal is to make shorts on my long form and drop tons of these for everyone more specific 🙏

    Question: How do u decide where to use which type of dribble? I find myself more concerned with making that decision than moving the left stick to the space. Like am I supposed to slow dribble in the box ? Technical dribble in midfield? strafe dribble? agile dribble? is orbit even used? These are examples of questions, the main question is what to look for to make that decision.

  • @JohnSims_

    @JohnSims_

    13 күн бұрын

    I think about it like this... I want to put the ball in an area of the pitch to gain an advantage.. or.. to avoid a tackle etc. But ultimately it's about finding the space. Use whichever mechanic allows you to find that space. Sometimes it's a knock on, sometimes it's a technical dribble, sometimes it's slow etc

    I enjoy your videos, don’t stop producing this type of quality content. You filled a gap in the community and helped me a lot understanding the defensive line structures, slow dribbling,precision shooting. I reached rank 2 (from 6) by merely watching your videos. One question: I’ve set my full backs to stay back and inverted to support my midfield. When attacking my cm’s push up and the fb fill in the gap thus creating a 2-3-5. No issues of counter attacks, your thoughts on this?

    My guy incredible! My goal is to create a positive community and help them grow their game just like you have!.. what I say with your question is, tactics do not matter to me in the effort of how they are conducted. What I care about is, when I attack, do u have enough support for passing options? Then on defense, are you at a number disadvantage. If not then do the opposite. If your counters aren't bad. Keep pushing forward 💪

    Great vid. Either what you’re doing is too good or your opponents were terrible. My last 3 games in champs, the pressure was so high I had nowhere to go, and I usually soak it quite alright. • @JohnSims_

    A little bit of both. Defenders constantly pull themselves out of position, but as you go up the ranks the tempo changes and players will be less committal. For instance charging at you vs staying off. I can explain high pressue as well. but bring those clips and I got you! Hold clips & have them ready for me live on stream & then we will go through them on Twitter for analysis!

  • @JohnSims_

    @JohnSims_

    11 күн бұрын

    My guy! Lets go! Improvement on Champs is harder to do because of the ELO format. Depending on when you win/lose you can put yourself in a harder "re-ranking." So youre most likely playing better, but youre now facing tougher opponents also as you more likely winning on the "frontside" of your 20 matches vs W/L/L/W/L you are at a -1 or 0 ELO due to the losses and then would have that be the next batch of 5. If it looks more like WWWLW. Then your in a higher ranking for the next 5 matches at a +3 ELO. So when you Win/lose affects the opponents you face. This is how I see it at least, so once you break that variable of win/loss elo then you advance in rank.

    It would be awesome if you could talk about and show your ping and delay or how they interact. You are undoubtedly amazing at this game (and far better than I) but your left stick dribbling looks so much smoother than anything my players can achieve while I play on between 29-42ms ping. I feel like I’m always on the wrong end of slight delay that makes me feel like my players are stuck in the mud/quicksand. Am I just destined to be capped at a certain skill level because of increased difficulty in gameplay?
