Sounds like acts of service is more of your love language. Technically this is a gift but the distinct difference between the two is that one you spend money for and the other, you spend time on.

Maybe that's my love language too 🤔. I'm not a terribly affectionate person, but I'd like to think my love shines through when Christmas time comes around lol. I enjoy doing my Christmas gift shopping all year around for people I care about. But it really kicks into gear come the Fall season 🍁🍂. I have a few ideas but nothing concrete yet. I'm having some financial troubles so I haven't bought anything 😢. Might have to wait until November to deal with that 🤷‍♀️.

@@krismiskarol that’s actually not true. Acts of service is more like doing things for people. This is my husbands love language. He does things like: fill my gas tank and wash my car, makes me coffee when he hears me coming down the stairs, etc. Gift giving is actually giving someone something as a token of love. It’s not about how much money you spend. I love doing hand made gifts but I also keep a running list of gift ideas in my phone for people I love based on things they tell me, ideas I have throughout the year, etc. There’s real thought behind the gifts. Just because something is hand made doesn’t make it an act of service. It doesn’t make their day any easier like an act of service would. 😊

@@meredithszymanski4720 i never said it was about *how much* i said the difference between gift giving and acts of service is time spent vs money spent.. if you give a gift you *made* it was still an *act of service* to make the gift.. an act of service is simply just doing something for someone that they would appreciate. You used making coffee as an example - here she made ice cream. Its literally the same language and you just said it without even realizing. & if your husband bought you coffee or if she bought her husband ice cream instead of making it, THAT would be gift giving. I read the love languages book a few years before social media started passing out the phrase like free candy, everything gets muddled once the internet gets their hands on it. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I think you might have a habit of assuming everyone has something against people who have different ethnicities, races, and religions because some people do actually think that way. But not me. We're all human. We all deserve to be treated well and loved by our partner, and equal "give and take". Like if I had a partner and made them breakfast or lunch, I'd expect them to want to do the same for me without being asked to. It's just an act of kindness. E.g. there's another content creator I see sometimes who's an East Asian non-Muslim, and she had to address these types of comments a while back because people were mad she made food for her husband. I do think Muslim content creators get more of these comments than otherwise (the top comments here are basically all about that, whereas for non-Muslim creators you need to scroll much further down to see them), but it's entirely possible a lot of these people say these things because they mistrust men, and not because they are prejudiced against Muslims in particular
