Make Ford Key - Lost Keys - FO38 Lishi SECRETS

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Have you lost all the keys to your Ford and wondering how the heck a locksmith makes them from thin air?
Many people might assume with have some kind of magic putty that we stick into the ignition and boom, we make a key.
The process is actually quite simple when you have one of my very favorite tools, the lishi tool.
For this video I break down how to use a FO38 lishi tool.
First you want to prep the lock with some lubrication. Run a key blank through the cylinder to break up any dust or foreign particles.
Next insert your lishi tool into the door. Begin checking each space for stiffness.
I always like the saying, "if she is stiff, then she is ready to be picked" referring to the wafers.
When you feel stiffness, begin to push the wafer until it clicks. You know you correctly picked it when the wafer becomes springy.
After all the wafers are springy the cylinder should rotate and allow you to decode.
Take the needle of the tools and go through each space pushing it past springy point. Whatever depth it stops on, write it down.
Now on Fords, only 6/8 cuts will be in the door. You will needs a code source database to give the possibilities for the last 2 cuts which are used in the ignition.
Begin cutting the keys until you have a working one.
This video is for education purposes only. Thank you for watching and please tell me any feedback down in the comments.

I did wiggle the steering wheel and the shifter but nothing….

Nice video. I love how your camera films. Lishiwise, Sometimes i use this and neither does it spring nor is it firm. I don't know why it does that but it confuses me a lot. I end up wondering if it is the lock or me. All my locks are removed at the junkyard; most of them come keyless. I take them home to practice and make keys for them. I have hard a hard time with HU101 and this Fo38 used on an 05 Mustang. I am still not able to pick the lock.

I've hauled that car all over the country when I moved hoping to be able to build a hot rod. The time has finally come, but I can't find the keys. Does Lishi make a tool for a 67 Mustang trunk lock? I apologize but come on bro. It's Obvious that depends on rather the car uses a transponder or not. If it does not use one yes this will turn it over. But it has to be a lishi that works on doors and ignition. Some don't work on ignition because there are different ignition types.

@@segounlocks5029 okay thank you I appreciate your time and you going out of your way to actually give a real and helpful answer. But now let me ask you how it supposed to be so obvious that the answer is "it depends" that's probably the least obvious answer for something that there possibly could be because obviously it will work this way in some instances if you think of it like that but obviously it will not work because of whatever in that situation but for future reference when somebody is just asking a legitimate question in an honest hope to just learn something they didn't know before coming off like a dick and helps nobody to say "it's obvious" or what do you think but we've gotten past that so thank you again

@@magenlin Because you will be hard-pressed to find a car in the last 20 years that doesn't take a chip. And if it does then it's obvious turning the ignition over won't work. So the only cars that would are cars before 2003 roughly. So I assume someone watching videos on lock picking would know that. Every time I get a customer with an old car they always mention no chip in hopes of saving money. And when you say the words key blank and transponder I think to myself. How could this man know these terms and not know rather a car has one or not? That's why I asked what do you think? Assuming you could answer your own question.

Does this happen on every Ford? I would try on a Ford that you already have the keys for. Pick the lock, decode it, and see if your cuts match with the existing key. Sometimes if you fail to decode the lock to 100%, it will only work in the door and not the ignition or vice versa.
