Counting the drips of water at approximately 1 per second equates to 60 millilitres per minute and he is using a 1.25 ltr coke bottle... 1250 seconds of dripping equals 20minutes 50seconds to empty this bottle at the flow rate he is using! I hope this helps👍

Very good. Twist a stick through the back of wire so that you can anchor the bottle more easily and stop it falling over.

Thank you. If you forcefully insert a piece of sponge (or the same fabric) inside the end of the hose (where water comes out), it will slow down even further the dripping rate. Also, if you replace the fabric with a cotton string, it will slow down the dripping rate, because the string will be a thinner material, and less water will be able to flow through it.

In the comments on another site where this described, (Lekovite Biljke), I read that if you use black tubing it will deter algae growth. And apparently you can bury the tubing in the ground so the roots get the moisture before it evaporates. I'm going to use this for my honeybee waterer and for a birdbath, as both birds and bees like moving water. As well, I'm going think of a way to disguise or cover the bottle so it doesn't heat up so much and release dangerous chemicals and so it looks more attractive. I sure appreciate the suggestions for adjustments that other commenters have made. Reply

My sister do the same. And when I stop by her home.. All i can see is recycle bottle seat everywhere on the garden . Invest drip line Not too expensive. Keep garden still look pretty.

Next time you visit, bring your sister some pretty pots she can bury her bottles in. You could make them, or you could invest in them. Doesn't matter, as long as they work and you both find them appealing.

There are plenty of ideas you could use to make them beautiful.

Very easy-just make 4 holes at the bottom of the coke bottle using a small needle and burried around 2 inches deep on the ground.It drip very slow.

If you use this method, cut a second bottle top off (3-4" like a funnel) to use as a support so the water bottle does not get clogged by touching the soil. Saw this in another video. Works great.

That s good idea not to stand with water hose around each plant. But on the other hand u should fill each dottle each time and place it under each plant. Boooooring. And for those who think they can do it once in a month - it drips too fast, a bottle will last a few hours

Can a clothesline made of metal wires as core coated with plastic be used; or an older style clothesline made of natural rope coated with plastic? Does anybody have idea?

He showed at the end dripping when he squeezed the bottle,didn't show how long that dripping. I try with three different sizes of tubing and that don't work at all,he just wants to get subscribers,it's so many like him who's showing video that are wrong.

@@bucktaylor4960 if you have the line outside of the bottle lower than the level inside, and still in contact with the water, it keeps dripping due to the law of water and will go to the lowest area and the tension of water will pull it over the curve. If it's too air tight that will break the tension and stop flow.

Cut bottom 1/4 of a 2L bottle put ice in it. Place this inside the 2L with ice.
