Make Beeswax Candles At Home / Filtering Wax / Making Dipping & Container Candle / Cottagecore
Making Beeswax Candles can actually be a relaxing project.
I purchased a huge bucket full of beeswax, that has been sitting in an old farm shed, for what looks like many years. So I am filtering the beeswax to clean it up.
It won't be suitable for making salves or beeswax wraps however it is perfect for candle making.
In this tutorial video, I show you how I'm dipping wicks to make birthday candles, the frame set up for dipped candle making and how I make essential oil, pillar candles in jars.
I am using Fowler Jars but Ball Mason are also suitable for this project.
CANDLE RECIPE OPTION
1 Pound Beeswax
1 to 2 Ounces of Pure Essential Oil Optional (I used Tangerine and Orange today)
1/2 Cup Coconut Oil Optional

I’ve always wanted to make my own. Maybe one day!

What a beautiful craft. I really love the smell of beeswax melting . I occasionally get dirty wax for candles etc and i now have 2 boxes of chipped fowlers and this is exactly what i want to do with them. Thank you Elissa . I have a little kit ive made for soap making, another for beeswax salve making and i need to start building up a little candle kit . An old slow cooker is a fantastic idea . Enjoy your candles lovelies ❤❤

I agree Naomi, Having different kits for each craft project, makes it so easy to get a project going and to see if you need anything for a kit.

I love these! Will beeswax do well in cement vessels and can you use the electric wax melting pot?

Hello. What do you think is the ideal wick for 50% beeswax-50% soy wax mixture in a tin jar? Also, is this an appropriate mixture, I didn't see much of it, so I was curious.

There are so many wonderful combinations to choose from and it really changes with the season ☀️ 🍂 ❄️ 🌸 as well as my mood. These pillar candles got Tangerine with some Orange for a Wintery Citrus uplift for the Spirits.
What temperature is the beeswax?
