very nice work. If you put a few holes in the table top, you could use some different size holders instead of the nail. Plus if you use two rows, you can varey the size of the holders to help hold it when cutting or sanding. Thanks for sharing your work.

that's really fine work! why do you (and many other people that I've seen working on bamboo) peel the bamboo instead of leaving the outside intact? You do this only with fresh or also with dried bamboo? It's to prevent cracks? thanks!

When you are working with fresh bamboo you should peel off the outer part to prevent it from cracking as it is deforming while its is drying but for old bamboo its up to you whether you peel it or not

It's not a good idea to put hot water on it.

Wouldn't the bottle swell up by absorbing water & become bad, to avoid it happening can shellac, oil, or some type of water repellent paint be used (non toxic paint)

I'd supposed dried. Wood is best worked on when it's lost most of its moisture content. As for conservation 🤷🏽‍♀️
