Thanks, this helped improve my current setup when I didn't know sh#t before. Prowlarr and qb are much better than what I was using. Too bad emby isn't on all my TV's in the house so I still have to use Plex unfortunately.

What a great guide. Thank you. I ended up here because an ai chatbot told me radarr and sonarr could do something and it actually looks like it can't, but I'm glad I did all this anyway, great systems! The thing I was trying to do: I have a bunch of media files I downloaded years ago and I want to seed them, and I was told radarr and sonarr could find torrents to match with my old downloaded media files so I could seed them for other people. Doesn't look like there's a way to do that, those ai chatbots making stuff up as usual!

Yeah I think you're out of luck there unless you still have the original torrent files to match them. There are some remote applications that can do this but you still need to manually point to where the torrent is for each file so it's kind of pointless. Really I would just search for your files online and see if they exist, try searching for the rarest version of those files. There isn't much the internet has lost in the video and music category unless it's from 80's and earlier non USA/UK television.

I usually use autodl-rssi to autosnatch any file. But the tracker doesn't have IRC announce channel. They only have API and RSS feed. How can I able to do this same as autodl-rssi? I already integrated the jackett correctly, and setup both Radarr and Sonarr with its download client configured. But, whenever there's a new torrent uploaded as freeleech. It won't download it. i don't understand what's the issue. Idk where to set up the filter to get any movies and I don't want to specify each movie. Any thoughts?

Good tutorial. I put in some extra work and made a Proxmox vm Ubuntu LTS desktop and spun it all up. There was a bunch of extra work with installing and permissions etc but it's working beautyfully.

Nice tutorial, the only thing I am lacking is a demo how it works

Because this is easier. You just select what movie or tv show you want and it automatically downloads it for you.@@seetheflow

@@seetheflow yeah he needs to show WHAT sonarr/radarr actually do. Basically you add your movie/show then it finds and downloads it automatically. Benefit over manual: it can upgrade quality as it finds better torrents, it can add new episodes as they come out, it names all the files correctly for you media server to pick up.

you must use vpn / proxy and such? can you use it without it? (Would like to test this on a laptop before prouchesing a hardware for it,)

Hey guys and dolls, I need some help. I have a couple Chromecast Ultra's for viewing video files mostly from PC. I was playing one with VLC player casting it from the PC using VLC on my android phone. It started stuttering the video and I uninstalled VLC. Now I can't see the video files on my phone. Is there a better free app that plays "ISO" files on Android and can remotely cast and view network files from the PC? Thanks in advance for any help...

do i now need to download the movies from Radarr and the tv from Sonarr or can i just Downlaod them from prowlarr

I’m having a problem with the trackers on qb? all the downloads are getting stalled. The trackers are getting back an error saying “permission denied” and on radarr, it’s saying “ download is stalled with no connections” I’m at a total loss and I’m probably not even explaining this well. 😞

You can't install the way he has, Ive watched 3 of these videos now but they all fail to mention you need to pay for a vpn, i did install and everything works by following a different tut, but then file paths are messed up because the paths are different if you don't follow the tuts where of course you need to purchase nord in this case.

when trying to add qbittorrent it says Authentication Failure under username

Doesn't work when i try add Qbitorrent in sonarr or Rararr "Download clients" it requires a username and password to add it and idk what username its asking for?? Plz help me at 14.01 in the video you say you can leave it and do nothing at all. but it wants username and pass? "username authentication failure"

Add show/movie in Sonar/Radar , it will auto download. And it will show up in emby.

Got me going without issue on my windows box. Grabbed an asustor NAS thinking it wouldn’t be an issue to get all these items installed, configured, and working in tandem. Boy was I wrong. I may just have to handle the downloads and file renames on windows and then ship them over to the NAS for Plex hosting.

There is a windows thing that you can do that allows you to configure network locations as local ones in windows. I'll try and find what it's called for you, but it's arcane wizardry only older folks like me would likely know. Such a thing is easy in Linux, but it did actually originate in Windows first. Search 'Symbolic Links Windows' and it will probably let you do it. I think this is a current gen version of what I used to use.

Great tutorial! You forgot to add categories to media management. If you don't set the categories, radarr or sonarr won't copy the downloads to their respective folders.

I was finding I couldn’t connect to anything other than a public indexer. Maybe that is also the problem?

Is there also a docker container available that has all of these apps which you can just spin up en push config data into?

I used a combination of the Trash guide for initial setup and dockSTARTer, it helped a ton with getting my pathing correct. Don't forget to set permissions on your media folders so that the ARR stack can communicate with them. Permissions and pathing held me back a long time.

unfortunately the step of linking sonarr and radarr to prowlarr is the problematic part. I get orange warnings that restart is required and api key is invalid

Any info to add private tracker? Base url, cookie and cookie user-agent? I got part way but test is still red. Great vid by the way

Oh ok , apparently it organizes only the video files and not the whole folder maybe I can change it from qBittorent so it only downloads the video without the folder , but please answer my second question thanks for the video!

it turned out Qbit has a default username and password. Also the clipping of the top of the screen is really annoying.

Not really familiar with vpns but from what i gather they use a data limit like a mobile data plan, with that in mind wouldn't this use case decimate just about any vpn service? i would love to get this running for my plex server but the whole Vpn thing seems like a losing battle to me with most files being 5+ GB. unless im just not understanding what traffic is actually being sent through the vpn

I get an error saying unable to connect to qBitorrent when trying to connect on sonarr and radarr. I followed all the other steps and everything works except that. Any help would be really good. Edit: turn on Web ui, it then works

@@kauegatto it is an alternative that seems to be more mainstream. I haven’t used envy or jelly fin, but I do use plex. It seems to be much more widely available (in terms of client apps) but I believe it isn’t open source.

Where was this when I setup my 100+ Anime collection (>; - ;)>, seriously I managed any new season/episode releases, rotated subs, into dual audio as they came out, and organized them all neatly one by one into a Anime Name - S##E## format without this.... Well, except for One Piece I left the naming convention alone for the 1,071 episodes I have so far, but man I could have used this much sooner. still thank-you I guess this will make short work of the new anime I'm managing, and anything I might miss along the way, heck I might even be able to get another 100+ anime from my back catalog into my dragons treasure trove

Because you are only using the vpn on the qbit torrent app. Use the VPN globally on your machine and you'll be fine.

It would've been really cool to start with the or at least show the end product working together and the use case. Like, I'm a bit confused how this is all used? Is it only working on your computer? If I go to jellyfin on my TV I won't be able to fetch anythign or will I have to open the browser on my TV, navigate to local host for sonnarr and search for a show there then go back to jellyfin and load it? I guess it's useful for shows which come out on a weekly basis you want to automatically download but other than that? If so ,it will probably take me less time to just login to a torrent website and download the show to the jelly fin folder on my PC.

The main point is the automation aspect, using a nice UI to find shows, or even using discord to find shows

That being said thanks to your video I tried the workflow and: - It's useful if you want to start building your library or want to download a lot of stuff (like multiple seasons) at the same time, it will automate that, for one off torrents its not that useful. - Useful to keep track of things that haven't came out yet as they will be automatically downloaded - I don't personally fully get Prowlarr, I like the seperation of Sonarr and Radarr and find it easier to search for stuff seperately, maybe for indexing its better. Overall, it's a cool workflow though I would say it's just the cherry on top if you have Jellyfin, unless you watch A LOT of stuff with multiple seasons etc or you're building a new library, this takes you from 90% to almost 100%.

This is great! But how does the storage works?? When is downloaded they don’t move around. I’m using Plex and the libraries go to “movies” and “shows” directly, but obviously everything is downloaded in “downloads” how is that managed?

If you have set it up properly, it should be in both downloads and movies/shows folder using hardlinks

Some countries may give some headaches when downloading torrents without a VPN, also, it's a nice way to hide your ip from other peers, tbh since I live in Brazil and I'm not worried with the government, I'm not really worried with downloading and setting up a vpn

Using nzb and newsgroups are way better and faster
