I've had this system for over a year now and used it weekly. I am really happy with it and it works incredible well in venues with a pretty simple setup. Durability is good, and I've never had an issue with battery life or charging, and performance has been great. I would love if they'd make a stereo version for sure, but many churches do not run stereo monitors at all, so this is a perfect solution to go wireless in those situations. My biggest concern with them actually wouldn't be that they're mono, but that there are only 6 channels to choose from in the already crowded 2.4GHz band - I would be concerned about running more than 2 or 3 of them simultaneously, though I've never actually tried this yet.

I may have missed it, but can you connect multiple recievers to one transmitter? If I bought this exact setup, do I have the option to buy receivers individually to pair with the transmitter?

I believe you can pair multiple receivers but I’m not sure if you can purchase them separately but they sell a kit with 4 packs: amzn.to/3RScfP3

My only problem with the xVibe is that it's only a 6 (fixed) channel system. There's not much room for interference if you have multiples.

It’s a mono system. *I would HIGHLY discourage anyone from using mono in-ears* (happy to share my reasons in a follow-up comment). Based on both my own experiences as well as the ones from musicians I’ve mixed for a mono system is just terrible idea, regardless of how tempting the price tag might be. I agree that the Xvive U4T9 insanely affordable. But even if it were $1, I’d recommend you to donate that dollar to missions and save up for a decent stereo wireless system. Go cable in the mean time. Nothing beats the price and reliability of copper wire. :)

@@jpcampos Sounds good. But looking at the specs, they advertise latency of "less than 5.5 ms". That would be fine in and of itself, but if you add digital amp modelling or virtual instruments on a laptop running thru a digital mixer, it can just reach the point where it’s too much latency :(

I would love a stereo version as well, but this meets a specific need where you might not have a P16 system (costly in its own right) and you've already got mono in-ears. Don't forget, many churches do not even have enough outputs on their system to support everyone having stereo IEMs, or the finances to buy the hardware required for them (or both). The X32 with an S32 for example is a very common console/stagebox config for churches and only has 16 outputs out of the box. This means a maximum of 8 stereo IEMs would even be theoretically possible, but generally you've got at least 4 channels reserved for FX in the X32, and you might already have some stage wedges as well. If you went with P16s I believe you can increase those outputs (I think the X32 can support up to 48 outs in total), and so for a church that already has that gear like this video shows, yes, stereo would be better, but this little system does have some good uses for simpler setups.

My issue with these is that they use the very crowded 2.4GHz band where so many Wi-Fi devices operate still.

No kidding. I have two guys that use their own and they haven’t had any issues but like I said in the video I would be interested to see if 6 units could run simultaneously along with all the other Wi-Fi devices in the room.

@@WorshipLeaderHangout This is also the same band that some other popular wireless systems use (like Line 6's stuff for example that a lot of people use for wireless guitar/bass/microphones). It can get crowded pretty quick!

@MaurienDenEngelsman @@WorshipLeaderHangout charging time is fast as long as you have a high-powered USB power source. Xvive says between 90-180 minutes depending on the current of your power supply, but I almost never start at empty when charging and mine is routinely charged in less than an hour.

Complete noob here: isn't the point of the p16's that musicians can change their foldback in real time? Do they have to walk backstage mid-song now?

That’s a valid point. I talked about it with the team before we made any changes. Drums and keys still have theirs beside them but our guitarist wanted to move towards wireless and were great with setting their mix during rehearsal and sound check. They said they don’t make on the spot changes often at all. I also think about myself and our vocals. We have the ability to adjust our mix with our phone using the M32 app but don’t mid set because we are focused on leading and worshipping. Thanks for the questions Luke and thanks for watching.

Good point... I’d say during playing live it shouldn’t be necessary to make on the fly adjustments. A good mix is obvisouly a precondition. If anything goes completely haywire, not having the P16 in reach limits your options, sure, but in that case you might have to communicate with the tech anyway. I’m in the comfortable position to pretty much always have a pretty dialed mix when I play live. I’m fine with setting up what I need during soundcheck and leaving it as is for the service/concert. If musicians are constantly adjusting things, it’s usually a combination of two things: 1) Severe lack of discipline on their part (may start with adjusting things before they’ve even played together - bad idea) 2) Things are wrong with the mix there is very little room before something gets buried in the mix or sticks out like a sore thumb.
