Thanks Jenny for this quilt pattern. Looks easy. My son is home from the Army after 15 yrs..4 deployments in Iraq...1 in Kuwait..and 1 in Korea..He is out on medical discharge..So very proud of him and so relieved to have him home safe! So....I'm gonna do this quilt for him and call it "Coming home". Love all your tutorials. Thanks again.

..my son is in the Navy and just back from deployment in Korea. Unfortunately that won't be his last. So to keep my sanity and clean out his closet, I've been working on a flag quilt made with his old blue jeans. Jenny gave me inspiration for this in her video on using blue jean scraps for a beautiful and quite heavy quilt. His is stationed in Washington state, so I know he will need it! Although he is in flight training, I hope to get to give him his quilt by Christmas. I want to thank you and your son for the sacrifice you've made for our freedom and country. Sending your son off to unknown dangers with extremely difficult challenges is the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I thank the Lord everyday for every one of our soldiers and their families. And huge thank you to Jenny for sharing your wonder gifts. This "flight" quilt will be my next challenge. It reminds me of what he calls "his birds" in the air. God Bless

Jackie Goosen For speed you can't beat the three block geese, but those bias edges make it hard to square up. When I want very accurate geese I always use Eleanor Burns' method but it takes a bit longer to make them. It depends what your project is, I suppose.

Love this quilt! Am currently making a quilt with 1200 half square blocks ( very small). Am currently squaring up each one by cutting all 4 sides. Noticed that you only cut 2 sides. Will try your method, it was wondering if only cutting 2 sides, does that make one triangle side bigger than the other? Not sure if I explained that well, but would love to only square up two sides of block I stead of all four sides. ThT would really help on time and effort. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks!
