Thank you for this video. I am new to ArcGIS and I have watched and rewatched this video a dozen times. I pick up something each time I watched it. I can't seem to figure out how you added the extend indicator to the regional map tho.

Hi Robert, on the ribbon, click the Insert tab. In the Map Frames group click Extent Indicator and click Main Map. The full written instructions are linked in the description for the video, so I recommend following those if you're still having trouble :)

One option is that you can convert legend to graphic and then change symbol to whatever you want

I have no option "Only show features visible in the map extent" in my Arcgis. I have latest version. I'm reating layout of online geology map. What can be the problem?

How come your map frame has so many maps options i.e. Central Wellington, Region and other. Mine has only default extent. For that reason XY points added to main map also appear in the small map. How do I stop them from appearing in the small map?
