These are amazing. I was trying to imagine what they could be used for. While great on their own I couldn't see just hanging them on the wall. So I thought putting laminate on one side and using them as doors on a jewelry box or putting a paper on one side and making a lamp out of them. (I cheated and found you did the later) I just couldn't see how I would have put them together as a lamp. It is a work of art. Anyone who hasn't seen that video should check it out.

For anyone interested, a master of this work named Des King wrote 3 books explaining everything about this type of work. It outlines all the basic tools needed to do something this. It explains how to make the jigs and gives tons of examples and designs. Highly recommended as a learning tool as well is inspiration.

As always, nice work! Thought the sanding method was genius - but doesn't it kind of take away from the zen enjoyment of kumiko? Part of the appeal of it to me is getting away from the power tools for a bit.

There are plenty already. Obviously there are plenty of these videos of Kumiko. However, each Kumiko is unique. The jigs are all the same.
