I love seeing other people hand sewing book bindings with the coptic stich. I learned it almost a decade ago and have bound so many books since then. I read that it was created by monks because they wanted their books to hold up for hundreds of years.

I would have sent this to an old friend of mine, were we still friends. She would have loved the gentleness of this video. I miss her still, but not as much as I used to. This makes me feel happy that I got the chance to know her at all. We were like a page from that lovely colouring book, and at some point, we had to turn to another page. ok this is a really random comment but the commerce bank ruler!! that reminds me so much of my childhood, my grandma used to work for that bank and same with my mom :') such a random thing to get nostalgic over but they don't exist anymore and I'd kind of forgotten about it completely until just now...anyway 😅 beautiful work and such a calming vid 😊

This reminded me of when I was little, my mom would make little coloring books for me to color while she was in sewing classes she had to take me with her. They had very simple shapes and drawings but I love them sm. Thank you for bringing back that memory ❤
