Today I'm going to take you on my journey to make a "Chin Cello" by putting the Sensicore Octave Viola strings on a both a Fiddlerman Apprentice Viola, and also the Ming-Jiang Zhu 909 Viola.
The big question is: can you do this without making any adjustments to your instrument?? (like drilling bigger peg holes and widening string grooves). And the answer is: YES! (well, almost, and it worked for me, but might not for you...)
