I have made quilts from all my folk's clothing. I still have more. I did not even worry if the pieces were not "quilting cotton", much of it was knits. But it all worked and this WOULD BE a perfect showcase of beloved fabrics or fabrics from beloved people. The pieces will be large enough touch and remember. Grandma will be hugging you in this! When I downloaded the pattern I saw that Vanessa suggests to use scraps as well, having the smaller squares a "similar" fabric to the main one. Ever since this video went live, I have not been able to get the pattern out of my head! I'm using this pattern to make a cherry quilt with cherry fabrics to honor Traverse City, Michigan (a vacation place my family goes to every summer). I'm a newer quilter and I'm excited to finish this quilt. I may have purchased too much cherry fabric...and I might be making two of them at the same time...but it will be perfect! Thank you for this wonderful tutorial and for all of your tutorials!!! I look forward to each new video you post!
