YES YES! Got a bunch of clanrats, weapon teams and rat ogres based up for old world so this gets my inspiration going! Good tip with the superglue on the balsa, i was afraid for the durability of the build. Almost like the wood breaks from the weight of the plastic!

A wire bristle brush is also a good way to go for achieving scale wood grain texture when working with balsa wood. A little less fiddly, too.

As an Org Chem major, that "weird reaction" you mentioned is the cyanoacrylate polymerizing which is how all superglue hardens, as for the smoke its either just that, smoke, or it might be vaporizing some of the glue which you sometimes se, especially when using an accelerator!

Reminds me of early versions of the screaming bell, skaven carpentry at its best. I like the plague monk with scroll and brazier.. clearly enjoying himself. The only thing I'd change is the Skaven symbol at the front, it seems to blend in too much, a nice rusty metal one cobbled from plasticard is more me, boldly announcing the arrival of the verminous tide. Great work, look forward to seeing your Skaven.
