They arrested her so his family can’t say HPD isn’t doing anything.
Trying to enter a persons vehicle without their permission is illegal. She was trying to flee and she accidentally ran him over due to his actions.
1 minute you're driving home, the next minute you're being charged with murder. Wtf!?

Self defense. Nobody is charging anybody for murder.

Really. Some crazy guy trying to Jack your car, you defend yourself the best way you know how, and now you’re the criminal. Smh.
It's not complicated, waianae police station is not fully operating., it's not the women fault. Law now days protect the criminals
She was a victim of an attempted car jacking and has the right to defend herself.
this isn't complicated at all, she was protecting herself
It doesn't sound like he was trying to get help. It sounds like he was trying to hijack a vehicle. Justice for the victim, the lady.

Adios scrub. Ruined this old lady’s life.
Reaching into someone’s car is a felony. Clear as day she was just trying to run away.
Hawaii is the same state where if a robber gets shot in your house, you are charged with attempted murder/murder

Or arrest record ?
No mention of a drug test for him?
They better not charge that woman... TF is wrong with Hawai'i. He tried to carjack her.
Running in the middle of the road?! Reaching into peoples vehicles through driver’s window? Can we investigate and question the family of the man?

Disoriented and maybe…under the influence (alcohol, drugs)😮😮? As he approached the vehicles… was he asking fot help OR trying to gain illegal access? REST IN ALOHA! Lady will be traumatized…for a long, long time, AUWE!!😮😮😢
Wait. He caused an accident, and then tried to carjack several vehicles, and victim ran away afraid? No!
Any bets as to whether this guy had a criminal record?
Criminals protected, victims indicted?

Democrat ran shithole states.
The family should be honest and admit he was using drugs or drunk which is probably why he crashed the car and if he needed help why didnt they help him since they live right there
Don’t mess wit Auntie…..
He was asking people to help my ass. He was trying to flee the scene of his car accident. Probably drunk or on something? I know it's sucks but come on, man's family. He is not 👼 let's be honest.
In all honesty, with the way things are now, I believe most people would have reacted like that woman. It's simply not safe as it was anymore. Why did he crash in the first place? Was he having a medical emergency? Was he high? To many unanswered questions. My condolences no matter.
No
I doubt she will be charged with First-degree negligent homicide. However, I would not be surprised if the State doesn't charge her with Third-Degree Negligent Homicide: Causing the death of another person while operating a vehicle in a manner that qualifies as simple negligence. That's when the family of the 28-year-old will go after her in civil court.
Bwa ha ha! Loser!
So the lady has to deal with running over someone (that died), and now waits to see what or if the prosecutor is going to charge her. I feel bad for her - it’s too much.
She should not be charged with a crime she tried to save herself from harm . Only he knew what was his intentions , seems he wanted to flee his car accident . Usually people stay and wait for help to arrive . My condolences to his family. May they find comfort and strength.

If he had a concussion his intentions could have been driving, usually when you get a sports concussion there are others to keep you from playing. I got a concussion on the first kickoff of a HS football game, played nearly one possession before they notice I was LIGHTS OUT on my feet. Spent the whole night trying to remember all my teammates names. woke up the next morning in the shower.
Self defense....in some states if you are truly in fear of your life...using your vehicle as a means of a battering ram is considered self defense...🤔
I could understand arresting her, if she backed up over him. She was scared, and got safely away.
Just try to run up and open my door and ?. Remember that Nazareth song, “now yo messin’ witha sonofa…”
This is Horrifying and crazy.also I don't buy her story she was in fear of being caught for a murder charge is more like it.😂
Hawaii state is so messed up. There is no self defense? She was just trying to get away!
That story doesn't make sense.
Ridiculous
What a tragic chaotic event. Feel for both the deceased and the lady. So many questions.
haha dummeh
I'M sure he was on drugs , by the way of his actions . A normal person wouldn't act lime that !!
She was scared how she knows if they were some else involved with the guy and they arrested her so stupid
Brahda cant handle da drugz & beerz... making one scene... shoulda just stayed home
one long line at the store she'd be gone
The DOJ wears its underwear backwards.
Had she called the police to report a crime, she'd be cleared because she was resting a strong arm robbery. Call the police good citizens!
I would not have stopped!!!! Get real
How the fuck she got arrested? Hawaii system is a bunch of bull shit
The fact she drove home an not report that she ran someone over is beyond mayjah bruh!!
The driver is the victim
The law is dumb !
Seems to me like he fk’d around and found out.
INNOCENT!
Too much weed
What I heard is a case of self-defense. He reached into the vehicle. Keep your grubby hands to yourself. And live longer. Sticking your hands inside a vehicle. You’re asking for self termination.
Hawaii,,,,,, das why haad
I like how they sugar coat a criminals actions. Crash your car and try to steal from others, never forget the higher power sees all.
Accounting and being held accountable. Making sure both sides of justice actually add up. Being human and accounting for human behavior, let alone significance of a loss of human life and human rights for some reason doesn't seem as black and white as we all want. Simplicity seems to cheapen the lost of life. Simplicity can also minimalize the trauma of having your sense of safety violated. 🙏

Your last sentence is a doozy. So simply put, if you were driving down the road and some desperado runs up along side of you, reaching into your vehicle to get in, you’d stop and ask him how you could help? Hell no, you’d accelerate the heck outa there and leave him in the dust. I’d tell any man or woman, boy or girl to do the same.
He tried to rob her....in defemce of self and property.... Karma
Leave that woman alone. Dude's fault 100%. Hawaii is backwards.
It's a torture when listening to Joe's talking.
