Endnight should add the ability to add cloth to a stick bed and make blankets, which would guarantee full sleep restoration, or give a full purple sleep bar. Kinda like Grounded’s sleep system

I kinda agree with the other guy. This is more like electroplating device than a forge. You dissolve the metal in acid, then attach the item you want to coat in a power source so the dissolved metal will stick to the item (I think that's how it works). I've seen some videos from Odd Tinkering on how he does electroplating.

the metal you want to attach to the item needs to be exposed to the correct electricity flow. So for example, gold dissolved in a solution will have a positive charge, therefore the item needs to be negatively charged for it to work.

@@sadiev2778 i couldn't explain the mechanics well as I'm not an expert on it, but I'm describing that the new tool structure that was recently released looks more like for electroplating than forging. Forging requires the material to be superheated to shape the material.

from 90 damage to 135, that's 50 percent increase

The numbers seem to vary from weapon to weapon.

I went absolutely bezerk on the game when it came out. I played it endlessly. I’m glad I put it down and see there so so much more added now, it’s almost like a new game!! I’ll wait till it’s full full release and then play it again!

7:05 if you want to reduce GPU and CPU usage when you pause any game, there is a feature in nvidia control panel called 'Background Application Max Frame Rate' I set mine to 30FPS. When you leave your PC for a whiile, press the windows key, the game is then considered a background app and will run at 30FPS, saving you some electricity.

Being able too mine ore opens up so many more possibilities with base building, even caves have more areas to explore hidden behind breakable rocks in caves.

The skull club is another item that can be upgraded. Basically if it isn't a: bow of any kind, chain saw, shovel, torch, repair tool, limb(yes, I tried just to be funny), or spear. I'm a little sad bout the spear one, since we don't have upgraded spears yet from the The Forest.

Its almost electrolytic plating. I do metal plating/finishing for a living, basically just dipping metal in acid and adding a current to it to get the desired affect.

You never fail to upload these vids when I search for them. Now I just search up your name when I see the update on steam, I reckon its high time I subbed.

They actually did fix the turtle shells falling through the earth (not sure about other stuff). I tested it three times to make absolutely sure, so you can actually SAVE turtle shells now by just crafting a trap or water collector and tearing it down later when you need it. This was my favorite change of this update and they didn't even list it in the notes! Also I spent about 4 in game days hunting turtles and only got 3-4 lol. So frustrating on hard survival.

trees falling trough sand on every beach after u break ur finished Building, very annoying

I hope at some point they change the upgrade texture to look more like the solofite has fused to the weapon. Some like rocky and mineral looking effects on them instead of just the gold paint look.

Some other ideas for future updates: Idea 1: Permadeath, its exactly what it sounds like. Idea 2: The option to allow the armsy and Virginia to spawn alongside the other mutants at the games start. Idea 3: Some more cannibal variants. Idea 4: Giving cannibals the ability to set traps of their own, especially in places where you most often travel through would be really cool. Idea 5: some more POI's on the map would be cool as well. Idea 6: Steam Workshop, I cant remember if this is already planned for full release, but I SOTF is a literal gold mine for modding. Anyways, these were just some more random ideas I had, keep up the great work Endnight!

Yeah the explosions in this game are nothing but insane screenshake and faint dust particles and except for trees they dont interact with much. I dont use the molotovs that much so idk about the fire

Dear @Farket first I want to thank you for your SotF videos. I love them, there are always pretty helpful and informative. Also I like your voice, maybe you should go to a cast and speak the synchro for every Batman-movie. Haha I have one question: How do u build ur things with stones without picking up three stones every time u set them off? Ill play solo world with commands and cheats on but its pretty annoying eventhough I got unlimited stones to pick every single spawned stones for building. Same thing with logs. Maybe u can tell me what to do? Thanks a lot and keep up the good work. :)

The three turtle shell carry capacity was a great change!

now i havent tested this butg yet but if you havent tried it is wit the golf carts while driving a golf cart it can litteraly go over any natural curve or terrain meaning if you want to go all the way up the mountain with a golf car you can it ligit will go sideways on a 90 degree or even 110 + degree ledge lol but if you dismount you fall and can even fall through the mesh

can we just apreciate what a nice thing farket is doing here for us every update with these great videos, tho im astonished as to how long the list of these updates/fixes are every update we get... sadly it has become the norm to release unfinished/unpolished games so since im a huge fan of the forest im so glad i have NOT bought this game YET because the ammount of content and new features that have been added its insane. it would just make me down right mad and depressed to think i could of finished the game before any of these updates and i would of missed on a tottally better/bigger playthrough.. I will keep waiting because im sure theres alot more things to come for this project and i cant wait to start playing it! thnx for keeping the comunity informed farket as allways. Big props to the company of the game on keeping polishing this project because the game looks sick!

What is the “insane” content they added? Some construction elements? A solar panel to light bulbs? Not great vehicles? A bit of lousy lore in some caves? Lakes and rivers?... In 7 months there's really not much, the game is barely more interesting than at the beginning

I believe the way the forge works is through electroplating, pretty cool to see to be honest.

7:30 this is something that happened a lot on the ps4 pro. For some reason developers don't add fps caps in menus so the console just went ham and would even overheat if left too long

I can second the point of pause menu using extra resources, recently mentioned this to a friend as well. It would be nice to see fixed soon since this inhibits me playing at all on busier days

The best thing about the forge is it starts raining filling up my water holders and also the mutants get wrecked on my defences giving me a heap of creepy armour 😊

My anxiety was at peak levels while traversing the pickaxe cave for the first time. Holy shit. They NAILED how to raise tension with the setting. That circular part where you can’t see what’s around e corner? Terrifying. The underwater section with fake splits in the the tunnel and then a real split with a dead end? Cruel. The god damn dudes everywhere glued to the walls? The jumps are skeleton? The long ass climbing ropes? Thank fuck there were no actual enemies in that cave because I would have pissed my pants 😭

The cave has enemies now! I met some mutants. I never go to caves and had turned on buildermode not to deal with enemies, but ended up killing 3 or 4 mutants and teleported the heck away 🤣

They can add cement/concrete machines and iron refineries for building it and sand for making cement/concrete.

Different wood types and more animals thats what im waiting for. Particularly a horse to ride and a dog chew on cannibals legs lol would be nice for some animal enemy types aswell. Or it would be cool if their was like a farming system where you can find wild farm animals to bring back to your base

i used it on a gun no noticeable increase to power which makes sense because its a coating and a coating on a gun doesn''t increase its fire power

Next they need to add real boss fights. Not just shoot the health sponge

I'm not sure how I feel about this. They added the weapon upgrades but then nerfed some of the weapons and buff mutants. Everything else seems to be ok though. Still a great video and I hope you and your family are well.
