Sesh really did a good job in researching the details by having conversations with Sandeep’s (the major) parents. One time, Sandeep’s parents looked at Sesh coming out of an elevator and thought it was their son and bursted into tears. That was the bond Sesh had with major’s parents. He considered the script so personal and worked on it with diligence and respect not just for the sake of it. Kudos to him 👏👏👏. Can’t wait to watch it. Respects to India’s fallen heroes. Jai Hind!!

@@ST-Dev5 Major Unnikrishnan martyred long back in 2008, I think his mother demised few years after. I watched an interview with his father in one of the news channel, he was extremely saddened with the situation. I hope that the movie showcases his father's side as well.

To give you a familiarity, this unit is called NSG (National Security Guards) aka Black Cats, they are specially trained for counter-terrorism and anti-hijacking, hostage situations or any other internal disturbances in the country. Although it's been inspired by one of the best Elite Counter-terrorism units, German GSGs & Special Air Service (Britain), they are similar to Seals of the US. There are 2 divisions in this unit; Special Action Groups SAG 51 & 52. Major Unnikrishnan here is SAG 51 commando. These guys actually aim for zero error in their operations. This Mumbai 26/11 operation (Operation Black Tornado) was phenomenal in terms of numbers too because they rescued 900+ hostages and killed 9 terrorists. P.S. The NSG is also part of a special division which takes care of the Z class security to the important political personalities in India. Also they have the coolest gadgets we could think of, like corner-shot guns (Israel), humming bird sized drones and many more.

Only some action scenes may be fictional but the whole film including the love story and dialogues are real .

I literally cried watching this in the theatre.. We couldn't move for 5 minutes even after the end title.. It was so overwhelming.. He is the pride and proud of my nation India as well as my state Kerala. He's one of the heroes that gave me inspiration to do something worthy. He's immortal in our hearts. Long live Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan.

I watched this movie with my cousin (Captain in Indian Army) and his wife..before the movie ends he left the theatre 5 minutes early I asked him later why you left the theatre he replied don't know may be this is the last movie I am watching 🙂

What is making me really optimistic about this movie is the fact that every single time I watched the trailer, I was fighting tears. The Telugu version, Hindi version, then here. That's rare, not just because I normally don't cry with movies, but also the fact that it's so moving even with repeat watches.

When these attacks were happening...initially when we were watching on News Channels it felt like watching some movie ...we were unable to figure out that it is happening actually....after so many hours except one terrorist 'Ajmal Kasab' were shot down by Indian Army...at the loss of very young courageous Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Policeman Tukaram Ombale, ATS Chief Hemant Karkare, ACP Ashok Kamte, Encounter specialist Vijay Salskar and Hawaldar Gajendra Singh (Part of NSG Commandos) .....Ohhhh God what a Loss....I pay my homage to these martyrs...Long Live Indian Army....And now from the a movie like incident...to movie on the incidence.....we all pray for peace....a terror free lives...

But every individual soldier and perticularly every soldier in the Indian Armed Forces who's coming from an Indian family, full of social values, moved up with patriotic valour was and is living a life like SHERSHAH. I've been interacted with your soldiers during training practices, UN duties along with bunch of other friendly foreign country's Army men. Both American & Indian soldiers similar to their patriotic values & ethos.... just what I've seen is your guys are much practical towards it where we fellows are quite emotional towards our motherland, nationality & patriotism.
