Major Semi Rollover Blocks Entire Freeway

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Major Semi Rollover Blocks Entire Freeway. Finally, something rolled over that isn't a container. And after the load spilled all over the freeway, it was empty too! Received this job from Omar at Titan Tow at 6am, and immediately headed out to assist in my 50ton rotator, Hulk.
I was first on scene since I was already headed in to work and had a driver meet me at this onramp in Hulk. From there I got a royal police escort, backwards, to the incident. At exactly this time they had managed to move some debris to snake a path for some vehicles to pass through on the center divider side as morning rush hour is BRUTAL. This was only temporary since that's the side that had debris, and my goal was to open up a lane on the opposite side as fast as possible.
The only way to do this was to winch the entire thing towards me and straighten it out. This worked great, and allowed 2 lanes of traffic to pass simultaneously while Omar and I got our game plan and rigged for the final job. First step was to close and secure the box to the chassis, then we rigged quickly to get this tractor and trailer up and out of the way.
The job was high pressure but overall I found it quite easy. Omar had a heavy wrecker on scene up front so as soon as it was upright, it went straight onto the under-lift and ready to tow out. Unfortunately the freeway still had to be shut down to do a full debris cleanup, but those guys seemed fast and after a bit, all lanes were open and traffic free again.
Since this was a rush job, I didn't get to use a drone or Sony or any other fancy equipment. All footage was shot with my iPhone 15 Pro in Apple Log, what did you guys think?

There was also a car (maybe an SUV) involved in the accident. They took it away on a rollback. Perhaps it changed lanes too close to the front of the truck. People don’t realize that it takes longer for a semi to stop than it does a car.

I have watched several of your videos (and several by another tow truck company - Ron Pratt) and I am amazed with the power of your trucks. Also I notice both you and Ron are careful and thorough when recovering heavy trucks. In particular you both often have tricky and difficult situations to deal with but always come up with a plan to ensure the job gets done safely. In particular just before this video I watched another one of yours titled "Insane Tractor-Trailer Rollover UNDER a Bridge". When I saw that truck on its side under a bridge with such low clearance my first thought was you would have to drag the truck out from under the bridge before uprighting it - and I was right. But I was surprised at one part of this video; you dragged the truck over to allow traffic to pass on BOTH sides of the vehicle during recovery (because the police wanted you to get another lane open ASAP). I thought you would need the extra space on one side to upright the truck but you managed to get it done in the very limited space left after the second lane was opened with no danger to the passing traffic. Well done.

@@magdalenallull3524Good news is that a fuel explosion usually requires a pressurized container. You'd have to get the fuel tank boiling for quite a while to set up the conditions for a BLEVE, Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion. Diesel is even harder to ignite that gasoline (petrol), requiring higher pressure and a relatively specific fuel/air ratio. Try it, you can't light diesel with a match or spark - diesel engines don't even have spark plugs! The Michael Bay explosions you see in the movies almost never happen. Worst case in this crash would be the force of the rollover, not fire or explosion.
