Major Promaster Offroad issues! Vanlife Pt.2 | UNPAVED Behind the Scenes

After all the mishaps we ran into while off-roading our ProMaster and putting it through its paces in part 1 ( • ProMaster Off-Roading ... ), the adventure still wasn't over. We spent the night on the mountain and had a whole lot more go wrong before we were down. In true UNPAVED fashion, it's always an adventure!
The UNPAVED Adventure Van is an off-road ready campervan that’s also convertible to an off-grid music and editing studio. This trip, aside from being a scouting mission, was also a sort of trial by fire to work out any potential issues with our van build before our 3 month multi state trip. And boy did we "isolate some potential issues''. Chaos and all, this adventure was invaluable in finding our van's weak points and addressing them for an even more refined build.
Filming at (let alone traveling to) all these amazing off the beaten path places is a challenge we want to continue, but it can get expensive. Occasionally I have to go into some muddy fields for parking at dirt bike races. I’m smart enough or lucky enough to not have gotten stuck in my Silverado’s over the years. I’ve always had 4wd if it did get sketchy tho. I’ve been looking at van and I’m really leaning towards the promaster. One on my major hang ups is fwd only. Btw I drive sand often. What has your experience been like with the van in the mud/sand.

I have the same exact leaking problem. Ram dealer says I’m screwed cuz of my lift kit by Off Highway Van. It only leaks when engine is cold.

Dang, you don't have your house batteries hooked up to alternator? Lessons learned!

If you are asking if we have a DC to DC, yes we do, that can be slow if you arent on a long drive to charge.
