when I first picked up overwatch 1 somewhere between middle and high school I loved seeing all different nations compete with and against one another I hope it can recapture that

The real question for me is if these NA bracket tournaments are gonna be held on LAN or not. We need more events in general specifically in parts of the US like my home region the Midwestern US which had zero representation during the OWL so we got no events in cities like Chicago.

I finally got the chance to play OW2 again after months (with getting a new pc) and it ignited my deep love for it yet again.

I’m also curious if we’re gonna get the World Cup again and if the Champions Series is gonna effect it. World Cup is the best thing from OW esports.

do we have any clue how many bids each region will get to the international tournaments?

I'm just stoked that Tier 1 level OW e-sports finals are coming to my neighbour country! I don't have to fly to watch premier OW e-sports!! I was in Seoul 2 months ago and sadly there wasn't any Tier 2 (or 3) LAN events then... but now I got rewarded! (A soul for a Seoul, if you will😉 ...sorry)

Man I’m so happy I could cry , I was so sad not being able to root for my teams and watching matches and listening to ATP about it . Though my Seoul dynasty is no longer there which sadddns me , the future is now and some great stuff can come out of the ashes from all the previous teams

This is probably the most exciting news overwatch 2 has had since release..... this to me can be game changing! Fan of overwatch since ow1 release and ow2 to me hasn't had the same vibes ow1 had but this is great news and super excited!!

Just to show how much EU was waiting for an event here. During season 3 in which every week was supposed to be hosted in a team's city (prior to Covid lockdown) 6 weeks were supposed to take place in Europe (London, Paris). ALL single one of the tickets for the 6 events were sold out in 1 hour.

I hope in the finals in Europe they invite Bad Pachimari to make his preds on live

I have two major concerns and I'm hoping they can address these in the coming weeks. 1 - How are the patches going to work? I would hope that they aren't planning on putting out a new patch right when the major starts, but are stage 1 and 2 gonna be on different patches? Would they update the patch in the middle of the qualifier stage if a new one comes out? 2 - Player movement. Would players sign contracts for an entire year, an entire tournament, entire stage, etc.? I don't want teams to be able to shake up their roster right before the tournament, so I want some amount of roster stability but obviously while still maintaining player choice. These are just two things I'm thinking about, but Irdc right now because WE ARE BACK BABY!!! 2024 is our year!

Te only thing I still want to know but they didn’t mention is if this esports tournament is for all platforms or just pc?

Just spitting out an idea here but maybe in the future the NA region could become the Americas region. That way the overwatch esports conglomerate isn’t leaving out an entire continent worth of gamers

South (and Central) America just competes in North America. They might as well just call it the American region but I think they expect it to be predominantly North American teams.
