When LtCol Farrell D Lowe was a major, he had occasion to carry orders from Scotland to Eisenhower's HQ near Paris. He just missed a ride across the Channel with famed bandleader, Glenn Miller. Lowe was 10 minutes behind Miller's flight and encountered the same enemy fire as Miller's plane. He has a pretty good idea what happened to the bandleader and his staff, thus shedding light on one of WWII's enduring mysteries.
