My father passed away not long ago. Had Browns tickets back in the 80s. A dozen tribe hats and an old Mark Price Jersey. Saw a winner back in ‘64 w the Browns and held on to see the Cavs in ‘16 before he passed. He always loved this song (and I played it before the Browns playoff win 2 years ago). By far the most loyal sports fan in the world. Love you dad.

This song does a perfect job of encapsulating the blue-collar, long suffering rag-tag team motif that the movie revolves around. It highlights the city, its culture, and the general tone of everything to come, which then contrasts wonderfully with their later success.

I love this song and movie dearly and I’m a Yankees fan. The INDIANS were always my second favorite team growing up and I’m talking the Joe Carter/ Cory Snyder/ Pat Tabler days. Joey Belle was one of my favorite players long before he became “Albert”. It’s sad that the Indians name has practically been banned and Chief Wahoo has gone away.

Thanks man! Ive had a lot friends from NY say that. That means a lot, it’s great to hear there are people out that feel the same way I do. I remember going to municipal stadium as a kid and Jacob’s field in the 90s and watching those classic INDIANS vs Yankees matchups of the 90s. It was so magical, those days are forever gone, it will never be the same. Some of the best memories of my childhood. It’s just painful for me that we never won a WS, oh well life goes on. One day it will be a triple A stadium, mark my words.

Welcome to another season of Pirates baseball! After a 20-8 April last year, the season went downhill from there, with injuries to several key players ending their seasons. Off season moves have brought several former All-Stars and two Texas Rangers to the team, and the Pirates expect to improve over last season. Stay tuned, we'll see where we are in October.

Love Randy Newman's songs. While the melody is sweet and nice to listen to, the lyrics are very tongue in cheek - referencing the June 1969 fire on the Cuyahoga River, which certainly wasn't an event most Clevelanders would be proud of, lol. But lots of Newman's music is like this. At Dodger games, they always play his song "I Love L.A." even though the lyrics, if you're familiar with L.A. - reference some of the seedier and decidedly unglamorous parts of l L.A.

And with 22 nominations over 37 years, he has only won twice. And no, most of his nominations are not for kid movies. Ragtime, Parenthood, The Natural, Avalon, Pleasantville, Marriage Story, and others. It is just the kid movies that are remembered.
