God help all in their path..

The strongest June storm on record since 1851. The previous record was set back in 1933 with a category two hurricane called the Trinidad hurricane. And 91 years later, it broke the record. And their questions if global warming and climate change caused by humans played a part in it. And the fewer storms they have an opportunity to become intense because it formed to the south of the dry air in the Saharan dust. It feels like August 30th not June 30th. And I have a feeling we’re gonna have a Chris and a Debby soon. I just hope after that we won’t get any long track storms until mid August. The fewer storms there are, the more intense they become. I just hope that the majority of the name storms remain weak. Watch violent earth tonight at 9 on CNN! Hurricanes they will be talking about

Definitely a historic standard for a storm going into this hurricane season. I agree with you, I am sitting here feeling like it is August 30th, not June 30th. I really hope we can get through this hurricane season without too much destruction. TV is ready to go, CNN Violent Earth will be a good watch this evening.

Thank you, I definitely like using the higher resolution models lately as it gives a good 3D cross section of the atmosphere and is much more detailed with individual storms.

Hello there, thank you, glad to keep you updated and ahead of the storms and worst of weather. Watching your area closely toward later next weekend into the week of July 8 for potential tropical system from what could be left of Beryl.

GOOD MORNING . Mark. yes i have heared . WOW . this is quickly taken form . 54.0f here now light rain . at moment time now 315am things gone change quick.

I am hoping for rain before the 4th, people just keep setting off fireworks and firecrackers. If it rains less of a fire risk.

Definitely agree, I was hoping we would get some rain first to mid week, but it looks dry until about the day of the 4th and onward into the 5th. A lot of fireworks and firecrackers going off here too these past couple days.

Evening Mark. Other models are showing south of Jamaica, but as you're showing it seems to shift a little bit more to the North.

Definitely watching closely, as I am concerned with the northward shift, especially in the hurricane model and the GFS. One thing that may help the storm go south of Jamaica like the Euro is showing is if the storm weakens below category 3, it would likely allow the storm to bend westward. I will keep you posted and updated in the coming days. It is going to be close.

It is only a matter of time. Will keep close watch on Beryl as it will be moving in the direction of the western Gulf. Plus we have the rest of this hyper active hurricane season to go through. It feels more like August 30th.

I am predicting that this year hurricane season could be the most names that could be retired.

Do you think more storms will be as large as this one? Since 96L is hot on Beryl, do you think they will be twins? Great update.

Thank you, Great question. I am thinking 96L will be weaker but a larger circulation, but still achieve hurricane strength. They will definitely be close enough together that they would be considered twin hurricanes. Definitely an interesting hurricane situation to watch. Just hoping there's a chance that many of these islands could get missed.

It is a possibility, the Hurricane HWRF and the GFS are hinting at it, while the Euro Model is just passing to the south with the northern eye wall brushing the south shore of Jamaica. I will keep an eye on these trends, definitely impacts for Jamaica.

Great question, there is a chance the dry hot air could push the storm further south into Mexico, however given the weaker steering currents, and the increasing humidity across the western Gulf, I think the hurricane models and the GFS are hinting at south Texas. Although the Euro which is more south into eastern Mexico does have a good track record. A lot to consider, but since it is more than 200 hours out, it definitely is going to be harder to pinpoint until we get closer to within 120 hours. Definitely very interesting though, as it will depend on the strength of Beryl too. If Beryl is able to maintain category 2 or higher on the other side of the Yucatan, it could go further north. Weaker, it would trend further south.

The eye of the storm will pass 160 miles to the south of barbados around 6 -8 on monday mornning

Don't most Atlantic/Caribbean hurricanes hook around to the northeast at some point? Could Baryl turn northward into Texas?

We are tourist in GC, all flights already sold out back to USA. How do we get out now?

Positive pna = sorry Texas; negative pna = you know what’s up Florida. If it changes while a hurricane is in the gulf? Alabama to Mississippi depending on ratio / distance to land / speed of storm. 100% guessing here. By no means do I know weather

It is going to be very close, I am expecting the eye wall to either brush Jamaica or go over Jamaica. I will keep watching this closely as there is likely to be slight wobbles in track of Beryl, especially being a very intense hurricane.

So far Houston Texas would be on the far northern end of the cone of possibility. I think chances are much greater in South Texas and Northeast Mexico. I will watch it closely for you for Houston, TX these next several days, as some changes in track and wobbles are expected. One thing that is worrisome is the steering currents become very weak after July 7th in the Gulf, so the storm will likely slow down.

It would likely be at least a category 2, potentially a 3, however given the water temperatures, lack of wind shear during this time, it may end up being a solid 3. Watching closely, because storms have been known to do some rapid intensification in the Western Gulf. Watching Brownsville Texas area very closely for you.

Beware NOLA this could turn your way and WILL finish what Katrina started. IF this system gets into gulf GET OUT
