Major ethnic groups in Togo and their peculiarities

Togo is one of the smallest countries in Africa and the 123rd in the world by size.
It enjoys a relatively good standard of living compared to other countries on the continent, thanks to its natural resources. But it is a given fact that whatever credit given the country is due to its diverse people who are comprised of several ethnic groups

Tado and mina are still Ewes and are no different, Tado was the ancient place for Ewes before spreading to their various settlements, mina are small groups who migrated from Elmina in the gold coast now Ghana to settle among the already Ewe settled people at the coast hence the name mina, mina is just another version of the larger Ewe group. The entire Ewe population from Ghana Togo and Benin stands at 25 million currently. Thanks

@@elikadbry7477 What an answer from an illiterate, lack of ability to argue. Therefore, he uses. Useless comment! This makes you a Kwasia. Even, some of the other Ewes are Akans who now speak Ewe. An example are the Avatime people.

Why only selected ethnic groups why not all the other ethnic groups does it mean that they're not important or what, like the Bassares, Konkombas, Kotokolis, Bimobas, are left out are they not part of the country?

How can you describe the 'Major ethnic groups in Togo and their peculiarities' when you affirm the following 'It enjoys a good standard of living compare to others countries of the continent thanks to its natural resources'? In saying Togo 'enjoys a good standard of living compare to others countries of the continent thanks to its natural resources' you provide the proof you have no idea about the reality of Togo, therefore you can't be the one who know the peculiarities of ethnic groups of Togo. The reality is the natural resources are the key reasons why we the people of Togo must be born, grow and die in a bloody and dynastic tyranny since almost six decades. This isn't enjoy a good standard of living among nations in Africa. This means being part of nations where life, gift of God, is transformed into perpetual condemnation by dictators. This isn't thanks to natural resources rather natural resources, blessings of God has been transformed into concrete and permanent curse. If you don't understand what you are talking about you better shut up and learn rather than affirm non sense. Go to see what life mean for the people of Togo.

Ana is Yoruba Ancestry from Ile Ife hearing them talk, sing and dance. I am not sure about Mina and Tado,. I used to think they are all atakpame. and they are immediate neighbours to both Ewe & Kaye may they live long. Now I see why weaving is common among Ewe & Kabye. Neighbors usually share culture. Aso Oke and Kente is the same weaving technics

It is true that Togo is one of the smallest countries in Africa and in the world. But it is not true that there is a 'relatively good standard of living compared to other countries on the continent, thanks to its natural resources.' Anyone who say so, or the person doesn't understand what he or she affirms, or the person is in lies. Because one of the reasons why we the people of Togo are suffering since almost six decades under a bloody dynastic tyranny, is precisely the natural resources. Generations are sacififed for the sake of the dynastic tyranny and for those to whom natural resources profit.

a correction here@@dani051000 although christianity is indeed not an original ewe cultural thing, still a lot of my ewe friends, and Ife and Fon and, and and.. confirm firstly their relation with the biblical exodus, and are very excited about their faith. and yes after hundreds years of christianising (about 50+% is christian today) one might accept that many Ewe ave made their faith and their ethnicity work together. as example Mawu who is Mawu to both Christian ans voodoo or ancetral worshipper. oh yes and Christianity was in Africa long before europeans accepted Jesus, and long before missions came over. in a way there is a longer african christian History than a west-european.
