Maitreyi is just herself and I love that! Glad to hear she has periods as a lot of people in the arts tend to stop it (for good reason) but stopping periods for a long time can be very unhealthy. So good for her even talking about it 🙌🏽

Yes Yes Yes for the period shame on product choice! Sick of people who menstrate shaming those who 'don't use eco friendly products', I'd love to in a perfect world, I do a lot to support and save the environment, recycle, reuse switch to better products on many things. However, I know what i'm comfortable with period wise and we should all be comfortable when it's something that's so damn often and not exactly a pleasant thing we've to deal with. Do what makes you feel comfortable please! I know pads aren't goof for the environment but understand why people use what they use Purlease!!!! x

I literally got it yesterday

So my first period story was interesting: so first I was 18 when it started which is super late and I was staying with my dad for the pandemic and one day while I was in online classes in the bathroom for a super long time and I was in the bathroom for about 45 minutes so my dad walked into the bathroom and saw the blood in my underwear so he called my mom and told her what happened and she took me back to her house and taught me what to do and I had gotten my best friend’s number that day so that night I called her and told her what had happened and she asked me did I have cramps yet and I told her no but a few days later I experienced it and it did hurt and I flipped out and cried to my mom who was in the room with me and she made sure I was comfortable
