I think one thing that often goes under looked especially when it comes to Paxton, is how protective he is over people he cares about. You can see it when he is with Rebecca and also with Devi as the season progresses. It’s lovely quality and while he is superficial with certain things like valuing popularity, he never hesitated to help her, he genuinely apologized when he was harsh to her and took Rebecca's advice in the last episode to let go of his ego. That's incredible character growth!

Yes, in season 2 Paxton is chasing Devi by the end of the final episode.

@5:56 Really glad to know that Mindy made the right decision by adding that Paxton is part Japanese and that the actor is also part Japanese. It gave Paxton room to have some added heritage, depth, and back story. Representation matters and I like that we're able to see how ethnically or racially mixed individuals navigate their space in this country and in this world. Really dope!

She is beautiful

I really can't wait to see Paxton's character developed in season 2, I think it will both make it harder and easier to choose between Devi/Ben and Devi/Paxton. But I totally agree that Devi needs to focus on herself, and her relationship with family and close friends first.

I think Paxton is not given enough credit. He rescues Devi multiple times and inspite of the rumour that devi spread, he is not telling people that she lied.
