Bigwillz..again you made my day! Maitama has been one of my favourite places in Abuja. Very welled planned , beautiful structures..partly business district but interesting place to stay as one get at little bit of everything lolzzzz- Meanwhile it´s so sad to see cars, containers etc..blocking the sidewalk meant for humans and bicycles..hence people walk on the street distrupting car users...what a misplaced prority! Anyways Bigwillz you´ve actually done noble by refreshing my memories..see me blushing like "alice in wonderland" reminscing on the good old days of Abuja. Please take us along ASOKORO..and central area..let´s see how much of development is been done there! Great vlog..kudos.

Murtala had no part to play in birthing of Abuja! Yes it was his administration and proffered the idea, but It was Obasanjo who signed Abuja into existence! Indeed, the federal military government under Murtala promulgated the decree no 6 to move the capital of Nigeria from Lagos to Abuja on the 4th of February 1976 and Murtala was killed in the Dimka led coup on the 13th of February 1976, just 9 days later. The bulk of the building of the city came under IBB who moved the capital from Lagos to Abuja in 1991. All subsequent leaders since then have added to the growth of Abuja!
