Maison Ikkoku ,in my heart .ever and forever .i cannot stop thinking about that ,.this change my Life ,for being seeing thé whole anime

I really love Maison Ikkoku, they will stay in my heart forever

that shows that even studios forget about important tracks that they create, that interests me more than anything, lost stuff that only the most dedicated fans know or want to restore. this 1 minute of track could be originally 3,5 or even 7 minutes but they only picked parts that they liked or made sense to those scenes in specific, is majestic and even awesome that someone had the time to look at several episodes to try to save a lost track, that doesn't even have been named. this track also makes me think of how much ideas they had originally and scrapped on the last second. anyway thanks for sharing your amazing restore.

This is a great example of a romance anime.

Boku no Pico is way better romance though

I agree. There's 3 episodes that plays this special track I been trying to get a hold of. It's ep 31, 40, and 94 and it plays mostly in the end of the episodes.

I think one of the reasons why they do this is to keep the music exclusive to watching the show to make it more emotional rather detaching it from the show remembering music from the show. There’s some Naruto soundtracks I love to hear but it’s not released. Another reason why they do this is because it’s musically “incomplete” or by stand alone not support by itself. But if you’re music lover or musician or a big fan, It don’t matter because we love it 😅 Sorry for super late reply..

この曲はミュージックCD「めぞん一刻TV・BGM集」を編集する際、音楽関係者がマスターテープを紛失したため、復旧が困難になってしまい、今まで発売されたシリーズ全てに収録されることはありませんでした。アニメ放映中は「暁に鐘は鳴る」と双璧を成す名曲として知られていましたが、残念ながら一般に出回ることはなかったのです。ですから、緻密な編集作業によって復元されたことに対して、「めぞん一刻」ファンの一人として心から感謝申し上げます。ちなみにこのBGMの曲名は「移りゆく季節の中で」と命名される予定だったと聞いています。

Its just sad what the anime romcom genre has become compared to what it used to be. Maison Ikkoku is a must watch for every romcom fan

めぞんのBGMはcomplete music boxにも収録されていない曲が結構あります。残念で仕方がない。今の時代なら何とかならないものか？　川井憲次、杉山卓夫　両氏のめぞん愛や才能を垣間見れる貴重な曲がたくさんあるんだけどな。

I once had a midi file of this tune, grabbed somewhere on the internet in the late 90s. On a good synth the rendering was very close to the original. Your did a great job extracting the music from these episodes ! Thanks for the work !

There's another track that isn't available on the box set collection or anywhere else and been hearing it over and over on episode 31, 40, and 94 and I truly loved the track so much! It's when Kyoko runs after Godai after an misunderstanding at maison ikkoku on ep 31, ep 40 is when Kyoko goes out looking for Godai when he suddenly leaves from the party unexpectedly and having a conversation at the bridge site after she finds him there, and ep 94 is when Godai carries Kyoko's father on his back and talks to her how much he will committed his love towards her and ask her to marry him and unexpectedly Kyoko's father eavesdropped and tells him not die on her and live longer. If anyone can direct me a link or somehow extract the sound track of those episodes I mentioned above, I would be deeply ingratitude to anyone. Thank you!

Thanks a lot for putting this together, seriously. This one is especially dreamy... Look up "Maison Ikkoku - Sadness" for another heart-wrenching track, but don't mistake it with the intro track "Hello Sadness" (also very pretty).

Thanks for this. Randomly discovered this anime here on KZread back in 2008 and liked its comedy & music.

I can't believe they didn't release this track ... There's another nice one in episode 94, around 16:20 just after the father collapses, then the music plays in his dream, also unreleased.

I agree too. There's also another unreleased track that's in this episode you mentioned above. It's around at 23:00, before the episode ends.

I do also have the complete music box but- everyone is correct. There's lots of missing unreleased tracks that weren't included and would've been nice if they were because you can just hear it over and over. :)
