She’s about 4th for me. I just don’t think she performs as well as the scores she gets. But she is too good to be in the bottom already. So I guess they try to score her high in hope that the voters will also vote for her.

@@catheriner5960 because it is filmed on Saturday night straight after the main show but is just put on tv the next day so the people in the dance off get leaked to papers.

This ladies and gentlemen is why it is nowhere near Maisie’s time to go. Rhythm, fluidity, deep into the ground and fast what more could we ask for. Obviously there was a mistake which when looking back I still can’t decide if it was or wasn’t her fault - but for such a jam packed routine it was a mighty impressive performance. Props to the pair of them as well because some of the lifts in that dance I haven’t seen on strictly ever before - it’s also not a simple task to land all of those jumps in a heel so well done to her. 9/10

i think its both their fault - Gorka not pushing her enough for momentum and Maisie not rotating her body enough to land on her feet. But that doesn't matter much cos they dance really well and as you said they did other lifts fantastic as well. I'm deffo enjoying when Strictly pros get creative with lifts.

@@hyperbot11 You are so right the rest of the lifts were amazing. I love how people see things differently - i thought the complete opposite, to me it looked like gorka used to much momentum to get her over his head. I guess we shall never know :)

She’s in the bottom two because the world is FULL of insecurity and people find it hard to praise others who exude self esteem, She’s full of confidence and people find that intimidating so they want to bring her down!! The bottom line is...she’s an ‘amazing’ dancer ❤️ x x

Claire Osborne She’s a bubbly 19 year old having the time of her life, her family adore her so too her Eastenders fam. She is wonderful, strong and capable. I cannot fathom why people aren’t voting for her, but, I enjoy seeing her every week. I love that she’s enjoying herself as every 19 yr old should, goodness knows not much for them to enjoy currently. Well done Maisie I say. 😁

Her rhythm is completely next level to any other celeb we've had on Strictly, so many flips in this routine which from apart from that one lift she landed a little Heavy( which I think was totally on Gorka) were quite amazing, I think people aren't really voting for her as much for one of two reasons whether they think she make it through so they'd vote for another couple (similar situation with Ashley from 2018) or she seems 'over confident or cocky''. Maisie seemed like she was a little more nervous this time around since the dance off last week, but she pulled through and it was an outstanding salsa, 9!

I think you hit the nail with that on the reason why people are not voting for her. She is a good dancer 100% and that's not just cutting it now. I can also think one reason may be is that she is not showing as much personality as the other contestants. When its their turn, they get about 5-8 mins exposure and sometimes I don't feel her coming through to me. I really hope more people should vote for her cos she can be a good contender for the finals!

The reason they didn't vote for Ashley in 2018 was because she was a professional dancer and had judged a dance show previously

@@hyperbot11 shes being given ridiculous songs, ridiculous themes and an unfavourable dancing order to dance in. People aren't voting for her because shes not exactly excelling currently and find other contestants routines a lot more memorable, plus they feel other contestants are hard done by. That said maisies media coverage of her stinks too and I believe her media coverage has put us off voting for her. The big bosses have basically stitched her up.

Clearly the best dance of the night regardless of the minor stumble. Dont get how people thinks she comes across as cocky. Shes just a confident amazing young woman putting on a great show. People can be so bitter, how sad.

My sister is one of the people that don't like her. She doesn't like confident young women because it must remind her that she is no longer one. She shrugged it off when I called her out on it and told me I only like her cos I'm a guy and must be attracted to her . It makes me sad

Its media engineered, so many people who vote who are addicted to publications in the sun, daily Express and daily mail. In other words the far right strictly fans if you see what I mean. At the same time we also have probably the worst strictly judging panel of all time, even the voice have a much better judging panel now and a lot more unity.

@Edits_15 she does tiktok dances, hardly professional dancing/dance experience she’s young, Has agility and is good with feeling/dancing the beat. It didn’t come from previous dance training she just has it in her. I feel like when celebs are naturally good at dancing/pick it up better than others the public get slightly annoyed. But to be honest I love seeing when celebs naturally pick up dancing because you actually get to see good dances. Strictly is about finding your Inner dancer and I love seeing that actually happen, but it seems that the audience tend to prefer seeing it in men particularly the older white men rather than the young females

Someone needs to check Shirley on her sexism and bias towards male celebs. Taints the whole show.

These two are by far the best on the show. It should be based on judges scores instead of the useless public vote.

It is hard to dance well and do cart wheels regardless of what shoes you are wearing. People are just comparing the performance to the others. She did well but not a 9 well. I think Maisie is one of the favorites and they don’t want to see her in the bottom again.

@@new735758 no she was a 9, if not a 10. Bill made quite a few mistakes and his posture wasn’t great, yet gets a 9, JJ was pretty mediocre, yet gets a 9. She was easily the best of the night and the best dancer, yet she’s nearly always under marked. Bill keeps getting overmarked and the public are delusional in thinking she’s cocky, yet HRVY comes off as the same, if not actually cocky, and people like him. People just don’t like seeing young confident women.

Once again, I hated the song! But Maisie girl... THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT!!! The tricks were OUTSTANDING!!! Hats off to Gorka for pulling this type of content out to this song. The technique was nice and the content (not the song) but the content that Maisie and Gorka executed gave the illusion of being a proper Salsa. I loved it! I wish the producers would give them proper music to these routines though. Just feel like the producers want to get rid of them for some reason. Anywho, Maisie and Gorka, *9!!!!!!!!* Darling!!!!

Certainly a great comeback for her. I knew since she excelled in the samba that the salsa would be a good redemption. The lifts were phenomenal, just the slight stumble out of one of them. Also, I do think she needs to watch her free arm cuz it tends to just dangle in space. (8)

Please stop using the label ‘British Public’ not every person in Britain watches SCD. Also, it is a popularity contest: people are entitled to use their own subjective judgment and vote for whom they choose considering they pay for the call. I think Maisie is fantastic, she deserves to make it to the final in my opinion.

She is brilliant. She should be in the final. It is such a shame that the british public have so much resentment and jealousy towards beautiful, talented young women who are insane at dancing. It's always the same every year; Alexandra Burke, Ashley Roberts, and now Maisie. I honestly don't care that she won before, she's so talented and she clearly works hard. That's a winner in my eyes. No matter what you think of her personality. She deserves to be in the final.

Well that’s how these kind of competitions work. You vote for who you like the best, who’s journey u liked the best and who you want to see dance next week, nothing surprising about that. That being said I do feel sorry for her as she is a great dancer and did not deserve to be in that dance off.
