ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬೈಲಕುಪ್ಪೆಯ Golden Temple | Biggest Tibetan Settlement in India | Kannada Travel Vlogs
Hello friends, We went to Kushalnagara and visited Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple, located in Bylakuppe, Karnataka, India. It's one of the largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world and is renowned for its beautiful architecture, intricate artwork, and serene atmosphere.
Namdroling Monastery is home to thousands of monks and nuns who study and practice Tibetan Buddhism. It's a significant center for the preservation and propagation of Tibetan culture and Buddhist teachings outside of Tibet.
Visitors to Namdroling Monastery can explore its ornate temples, observe monks engaged in prayer and rituals, and immerse themselves in the peaceful ambiance of this spiritual sanctuary. It's a popular destination for tourists and spiritual seekers alike.
We also visited Chiklihole Reservoir near by. Chiklihole Reservoir is a small dam and reservoir located near Virajpet in the Coorg (Kodagu) district of Karnataka, India. It's situated amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, making it a picturesque spot for tourists and locals alike.
The reservoir is primarily used for irrigation purposes, providing water for agricultural activities in the surrounding areas. Additionally, it has become a popular destination for picnics and outdoor activities, offering opportunities for boating and fishing.
Sadly, there was no water in the reservoir, which was very alarming. I hope we get enough rain, at least in the next season.
