Loonbedrijf Bouwhuis (Den Ham) 's ochtends in dichte mist aan het mais hakselen en inkuilen bij melkveebedrijf Rolleman.
De mais zou eigenlijk al een dag eerder gehakseld worden, maar werd vanwege de regen een dag uitgesteld.
Voor de middag hakselen ze 4 velden, en nadat we 's ochtends bij het eerste veld alleen even zijn wezen kijken, wachten we ze vervolgens rond kwart voor negen bij het 2e veld met de camera op.
Het hakselen wordt gedaan met een New Holland FR550 Forage Cruiser en daarnaast rijden ze met 2 New Holland T7.270 met beide een Schuitemaker Siwa 720 silagewagen.
De Schuitemaker silagewagens beschikken over een kiepfunctie, de silagebak wordt hierbij door middel van 2 cilinders aan de voorkant ongeveer een meter opgetild, wat de chauffeur bij het losmaaien
van de kanten een beter zicht op de wielen geeft en het achteruitrijden makkelijker maakt.
Na een tijdje op het veld gefilmd te hebben zijn we rond 10 uur op de boerderij waar een New Holland T7.245 met Holaras M.E.S. mais schuif en Landkracht silagewals het kuilwerk doet, de vrachten mais die we beide T7's er zien lossen zijn afkomstig van het 3e veld.
Om half twaalf zijn we weer bij de hakselaar die net begonnen is aan het 4e en laatste veld van de ochtend wat er dan even later ook net rond het middaguur af is.
Hoewel we dit niet gefilmd hebben werd er later 's middags nog meer gehakseld en ingekuild en uiteindelijk zat er 's avonds tegen acht uur plastic en zand op de kuil.

The maize was actually supposed to be harvested a day earlier, but this was postponed by one day because of the rain.
Before noon they harvest 4 fields, and after we just had a look at the first field in the morning, we wait for them, with the camera at the ready, to arrive at the second field at around a quarter to nine.
The chopping is done with a New Holland FR550 Forage Cruiser and driving alongside it they have 2 New Holland T7.270 with both a Schuitemaker Siwa 720 silage trailer.
The Schuitemaker silage wagons are fitted with an optional tipping function, using the tipping function on the silage trailer the silage box is lifted about one meter by means of 2 cylinders which gives the driver a better view of the wheels and makes reversing easier when opening up the field.
After filming on the field for a while, we head to the farm at around 10 am, where a New Holland T7.245 with Holaras M.E.S. maize leveler and Landkracht silage compation roller does the pitwork, the trailers full of maize that we see both T7's unloading are coming from the 3rd field.
At half past eleven we are back at the forage harvester which has just started on the 4th and last field of the morning, which is then finished just around noon.
Although we didn't film this, later in the afternoon more maize was harvested and finally, by eight o'clock in the evening, the pit was covered with plastic and sand.
