I like well organized set up. Good use of the extra cab. I have always like that Decked System. I realize its benefits are user specific....not suitable for all..... but for me, and obviously you, it makes a lot of sense.

Yeah I can’t imagine not having the Decked now that I’ve had it. I believe even if I go with a van, I’d want drawers I pull out the back 😂

Real nice set up! A place for everything and everything in its place. As another commenter stated clean truck and organized. Many tradesmen don’t realize what a good impression that makes on a customer. It’s obvious you take great pride in what you do and have an interest in always looking for ways to improve. Thanks. I try my best. I like to know what I have, where it is, and that it is going to work when I use it. I also try and take care of my tools since they take care of me.

Aside from the great video and loadout, I dig that everytime he mentions a tool or accessory that has to do with flat tires or jumping a battery he always talks about it as it’s for the other persons convenience and assistance. You can just tell he’s a good guy in general.

Thanks for watching. The only downside to me of them Verses the ones I built myself is that the drawers don’t pull all the way out. I’m sure they did it so that if people overload them it wouldn’t cause the drawers to fail. It’s not hard to reach in the back but it would be nice to not have to. The materials used give it weather resistance, durability, and strength that would be hard to beat building it yourself.

I’m impressed, I’m currently planning out a build for a Light Off Site mechanic/maintenance pickup truck. This is truly inspiring. I don’t do enough heavy mechanical work to build a service body vehicle. But most of the maintenance is done by myself on my Class 8 trucks. Thanks for the great video

My last truck I built a set, but when i got this I purchased the DECKED system due to needing it quickly, but I really like them. They are much more weather resistant than anything I would build. I run a cargo glide with packouts in my farm service truck. I love the packouts but I can tell you the cargo glide was the very best one thing I ever put on my truck. It is the medium duty with a 75% pull out. Great video!

A lot of help in my quest to deck out my truck. Thinking more for supplies to set up camp with with out having to dig into the rv for my first use tools needed at my camp site. ❤

Yeah, I empty out my tools sometimes for Kayak trips and things, let’s me store all my paddles, life jackets, etc without having to worry about them blowing away. It’s pricey, but I have built my own drawers before and that can be pricey too… especially in time involved. That and they aren’t as weather proof.

Please do more like this!

Thank you. It's really hard especially when you need big items and tools to find the room. I try not to do "big jobs" on the side anymore. I have found it more profitable and enjoyable to do more service type work. Especially since I work alone.

Fantastic video! So many good ideas! I have a lot of Milwaukee and Dewalt 18V tools but wish I had more M12 tools. The M12 tripod work light is a favorite and also the M18 vacuum. If you find you need to clean old rusty tools or parts, I highly recommend the M12 right-angle die grinder with Roloc pad.

Just came across this video and really like it, making me rethink my whole tool storage system. Right now I have a lot of similar tools to you, Packout, Tech MCT and a smaller TP-XL, packout crate, then a Silverado with a tonneau. I was looking into drawer slides, and a buddy had a Decked system at work. Never thought of making so much use of my backseat. Only wish I had backseat doors that open the way yours do, mine are smaller doors on the extended cab and only swing open about 3/4 the way, it's tight to fit a packout in. I'll have to play around and see if I can get a packout drawer system in. I like your backseat and the way those decked drawers slide. I'm building up my electrical contracting business. Only downside I see to the Decked system is it takes up about half the vertical space in the bed, which has pros and cons. Great for transporting plywood and flooring and things like that, but kind of limits you on carrying things like the base Packout box and the 3 drawer units in the bed. Not sure what I'll do, but super cool to see your setup, it's awesome.

Thanks so much! Yeah there are times I wish I could fit my Rolling Packout in the back but I rarely use mine. Really only if I do work in a mall or school. I am lucky and typically my truck is near my workspace, and/or I don't need all my tools at one time during a day... it usually comes in spurts with a few different tools per day. I built drawers in my bed on my last truck and that is what made me become a fan of drawers. Its nice nit to have to climb in/out of the truck bed. A Cargo Glide System with Packout would be nice too, but I like the security of the Decked System.. No System is thief proof, but it at least makes it harder. I just started out on my own 100% and am working out of my truck more. It can be a chore to work out of a pickup truck, but if you organize it right it can work. Its an ever evolving process... mine has changed on the inside of my truck since my first load out - I have another loadout now f you haven't seen it - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mG16tcGfk5Ookc4.html We all do different stuff so nothing will ever be exactly the same but hopefully we help each other with little nuggets to make all our jobs easier. As a contractor I have to load up then get to job load out then load up again when done then load out again at home. Also having to do quick run to homedepot run risk of my packouts being stolen here in CA it’s inevitable. def getting decked and use packout stuff in drawers save me ton of time and nonsense. Nice.. like all those Milwaukee tools. I've been looking for one of those 3 drawers boxes for a while now.. all my local depot have been out of stock.. I use all red tools as well. Mine stay at the job sight now or I'd be looking to keep my truck organized like yours. Nicely done.

Yeah my HD never has the drawers period. I just so happen to be in there one day when they put two of them out and I haven’t seen them again since. I just started buying Milwaukee tools a couple years ago and I have been hooked. I love the M12 line. I keep a lot of my tools in a few places…I just try and keep the ones I might would need daily on my truck so I have those everywhere. Thanks for watching and for the compliment.

Watched this over coffee this morning, one of the best pickup loadout setups I’ve seen. Really like how you’ve set everything up. Only thing I would add is a standard height cap with hinged door compartments on both sides. Also pricey but I think adds a lot of versatility as well as security. Makes me want to go get an extra cab pickup! Thanks for sharing👍🏻

Thanks. My setup has been evolving over the last few months now. I went 100% self employed and am working out of my truck more. I’ve actually been contemplating getting a cap for my truck so I can more easily keep miter saws and stuff like that out of weather/sight. I’m working out the kinks on my current setup but hope to do another video soon. Tools videos and coffee…that makes for a great day 😂 Thanks again for taking the time to comment 👍

I have the old Rigid tool box set up. I'm think about trying a different set-up since Rigid has no drawers. I see you can organize your portable tools , batteries, and slide out what you need. Tool boxes get heavy real quick , and you lifting them in and out is a chore. This allows you to take what you need , and find easily and not have to carry a heavy load to the job.. 👍

Yeah, I don’t carry a stack of Packout in/out of places very often. I have the Rolling Box I take with me to those jobs, but you are right… unstacking boxes to get to your tool on the bottom stinks. The drawers are definitely the way to go in a stack, at least for your bottom boxes. I ish the prices on the drawers weren’t so high. You may check into some 3D printed stuff. I know I have seen a top you slide into Packout and Dewalts that let you swap between the two. Maybe you could buy one of those drawers and integrate all your Ridgid boxes to save some money.

Awesome set up. Also cool to see someone else loves milwuakee and Bosch! I use Milwuakee M18 for my bigger stuff and Bosch 12v for tools I use not so often or don't need too much power for

Yeah, I'm a bit of a neat freak when it comes to tools. Me being the only one that uses them helps tremendously. The place I mostly work provides tools but I buy my own just for those reasons. Thanks for the comment.

@@MORGANSMaintenance Probably your work environment is clean enough to let you keep the tools in pristine condition without wasting copious amount of time. And of course - the magic of a sole owner.

I decided to go with a bed slide and use the packout system entirely. No regrets. I love having the ability to build whatever stack I need on a dolly and roll into the job. If packout wasn’t available Decked is the choice, used it prior to packout.

Nice setup. I'm a part-time handyman and keep my things clean and organized. I don't understand how all of your stuff looks brand new. that 5 3/8 circular saw is what I have and I use it often. that bag should have a little sawdust in it at the minimum. and all those bags are crisp, not like they have been used. still a good setup.

Appreciate it 👍 My bags don’t leave my truck. I take the tools out of the bag at my truck, use them, blow them off and/or clean them, put them back in the bag. I also clean stuff before I film, and videos don’t show little things like scuffs/scratches that you can see in person. A lot of my Milwaukee stuff is “newer” (within 2 years) but I also don’t use 100% of my tools every day. I do a lot of different things, so the wear and tear gets spread out. But who knows, maybe I bought a truck, a $1000 decked system, $1000’s in tools just to have them and never use them and you have all been punked 😂

I didn't think about that. so do you have a system to take multiple tools to a job? often times my jobs take multiple days so I take my boxes/totes into a job location so I don't have to reload and unload equipment every day. This is very job dependent and I haven't spent any time on your channel so I don't know your line of work. if most of the work requires limited tools and you are in and out then I understand.

@@andrewcole9440 I have organizers set up for different jobs so that I can typically carry just one in with all my supplies for the specific job.… As far as tools I usually swap what I am doing every day and some tools swap in/out. Like I may do flooring one day, drop ceilings the next, drywall, etc. I put tools in a packout crate if I know I’m going to use them the next day… when I’m finally done with them I clean them and put them in the bags. Currently, If I’m going to be on the same job site multiple days (weeks/month) I have some spare tools that I leave on the job site separate from what I keep in my truck. I do service work and commercial remodels. I just started working for myself and out of my truck 100% last August… before that I worked in Maintenance for a Campus. Most of my jobs (when I filmed this) took just one day and I had an office to store things that were occasional use. Now… Working 100% out of my truck it’s a little harder…I am still working out the kinks.

Clean truck and being organized people respect tht dirt truck not organized you lose business just some people and companies do not care

100% agree. Some customers don’t care, but they also typically don’t care who does their work. Not always…. I typically am not priced to beat the “anybody”

Nice video and nice setup. I recently got the decked system and my 2 biggest complaints are that 16" is under the top at full extension..so you have to move stuff to get to the back drawer items. Secondly, you literally need a bag for everything. Trying to carry a couple various boxes of screws in the drawer is a pain, or bit holders cases...etc. overall definitely impressed with your organization and setup. Good work.

Yeah the back of the drawers stinks. My warranty is up now so I may toy with what it will take to modify that. I get WHY they do it, don’t want someone weighing down their drawers and extending them past a pivot point that can cause damage. I’ve always kept my tools in bags so that hasn’t bothered me. I did just recently realize that the Packout Organizers (especially the slim) work pretty good. I had a lot of questions about that so I made a video. It’s not perfect but you may want to check that out. Works for organizers and creates dividers. I’ve been using mine that way since I made that video.

You're setup is epic brother. I need to be able to load out the truck, but I screwed up and had a second kid 18 years after the last. Those kid seats take up space. Thank you for all you put into your video. I'm sure anyone watching deep into it appreciated the presentation. Informative but not diving down into every bit case and bag. My only advice would be to deck out that red bag drawer with a foam set up. I think you could gain ever more space and there's a benifit to know what is missing, at a glance.

Very true…I used to have the same issue. I had drawers that I built in my backseat before the Packout came out that was on my drivers side They were bigger/better but much harder to get out if I needed the space. I can still get 5 people in my truck with this set up fairly easy buy 99% of the time it’s just me. AND the big thing is I don’t have to pull a trailer hardly ever. Love your photo…I am like Ron Swanson in so many ways…lol

@@MORGANSMaintenance it's hard to pick a favorite...I've heard myself saying that in home Depot. There this one episode where he goes up on the 4th floor where no is allowed and discovers lots of things to fix and a pile of tools. He fixes everything and then the crew that was hired to actually be there comes back from lunch to find everything done and a very happy Ron. My wife isn't a fan of me stopping on the road next to someone broken down. I'd say, "imagine if it was you?". She always replies, "well then I call you." Sassy.

I agree with ditching the bags that the tools come in, I got rid of all my boxes and bags for all my tools in My Job trailer and it's a ton of extra space created just by doing that, besides all that that's one more move I have to make to remove the tool from the bag it's just a few seconds but it adds up through the day and turns to minutes. Time is money

Yeah a van would be nice for me in certain situations… probably most. I actually have been thinking about it possibly for my next vehicle. I will probably drive this truck till the wheels fall off though 😂 Most of my work other than service calls is all in stages… I use the same couple tools for days at a time. I usually only unload certain tools once every now and then.. I don’t have to go through all of them in/out of bags everyday or anything, but I get why that wouldn’t work for a lot of people.

@MORGAN'S Maintenance thing I like about the van is I keep the floor clear but at the end of the day if I know I'm going back I just lay the tools I'm using on the floor and I start right where I left off the next day. Portable work bench saves a lot of time.

I would love to get the Decked system in my truck but reason I dont #1 my wife would divorce me if I buy one more thing for the business, reason 2, we camp and use the truck and need all the bed space we can get. I'm constantly tweeking my trailer to fit my needs. I love seeing other peoples set ups.

@@danreger8924 I’m the same way.. I can watch Toolbag, trailer, and truck Load Outs all day. It doesn’t take many Packout pieces to get to a half a million bucks 😂. Im getting a commercial Leer topper to give me a little more room for bed space instead of the space between my trifold cover and the Decked Drawers. I need a little more height for Miter Saws, Table Saws, etc… to be secure and safe from the weather getting them to jobsites. I always just had those on-site at my employee job. After I realize the topper won’t be enough, I will probably go trailer too 😂 I really like the Decked Drawers… I wish they came out all the way, but I get why they make them so they don’t.

You got that right with packout!😂 I'm at max capacity in my trailer and now my truck bed is full of my service tools. My trailer is strictly set up for remodel. You are right though, I spend my evenings watching tool/trailer/truck reviews and job related videos. Thats what makes us good at what we do and strive to be better and more efficient. I'm glad I stumbled across your channel not to long ago. You have great content. Keep up the great work! I just wish I had the time to have a youtube channel on remodeling but I'm a one man show and stay busy constantly. Its a full time job just filming and editing content I'm sure.

@@danreger8924 yeah, I wish I could film more “working” videos but it’s really hard when you are working by yourself. It’s few and far between that I can spend the extra time to film and move cameras around, etc.. That and like you, I work alone, am booked pretty solid, and don’t have much spare time between jobs to be able to lose that extra time without getting behind. Can’t make the people who really pay me mad to make videos. I am always wanting to learn about tools, tips, tricks, techniques… and agree that is what makes you get better. I am pretty good at most things, but feel like I can always be better and can always learn something. Appreciate you watching.. and look forward to your Trailer Loadout Video one day 🤞 😂

I feel a lot like you except I don't have maybe all my stuff organized quite as well too but you do know that they are going to come out with a whole bunch of new pack out options for your shop now I'll send you a link right here in this comment. Also on the subject of gloves you should check out the grx Palm WIC technology anzi cut level 3 gloves at Lowe's they fit like skin. They're only about 10 bucks I wear a size medium in Milwaukee and also a medium in that size. The only downside is that the coating that's on the inside of the fingers and palm tends to flake off after a while but it's in bucks they work really well I'm sure if you were to so now in the bed put some sort of oil or something on them maybe to keep them from drying out I suppose they might last longer I don't really know about the material that coats the gloves enough but then again I didn't even think about doing that until just now when I was talking about it LOL. But I always like watching new videos like this I'm trying to figure out how to get my stuff organized like I want it. I have between 40 and 45 cordless Milwaukee tools not to mention the insane amount of other tools that I have of theirs I have literally a showroom where the picture of all my stuff before I really got my quarters collection as big as it is because it doesn't have my table saw or pretty much I'd say half of the other cordless tools I've gotten since then because I've gotten into the M12 system a lot lately the M18 system really is overkill for me mostly. But I still like having him 18 tools nonetheless. I'm not sure if you are aware but they have full size 6 gallon 9 gal and 12 gallon cordless shop vacs coming out as well one is going to be a single battery and the other two will be dual battery powered and they're modular so just technically 24 different vacuums. I do wish Milwaukee would sponsor me as much of their stuff as I have. But even when I showed them the picture just to kind of playfully brag and ask them a question on Facebook Messenger one time I got to thanks and we'll mail you some decals LOL but the cool thing about that is is I was talking about how much my daughter loves Milwaukee tools and how excited she gets when I get a new tool so what they did was actually mail the stickers in an envelope with her name on it and their company logo on it and she was so excited so it was worth it to me in my opinion. Anyways if you don't know about this other channel called belts and boxes that's what this link I'm going to post right here is too. You should follow them they pretty much give out tool news every single weekthey keep you up to date with all the tool news from all the big brands every week even guys like you that have legions of subscribers and fans if you're I guess in touch with them anyways I suppose I don't know how it works to be a content creator but if you don't know about it you should check it out get in here and again I'm not going to crazy I'm a massive Milwaukee fan I know they don't make the best of everything but my first tool kit back in 2005 was a six or seven piece nicad combo set with a job site radio with the Rockford speakers place I go and ever since then I've been a big fan but I didn't start getting my collection back up until about 3 years ago after a long long recovery from three spinal surgeries I had 6 years ago. Anyway check out the video link and thank you for sharing this information and video I'm hoping this will help me figure out how to get my setup going as I'm trying to work out of my garage I've had a lifelong dream of building furniture since starting my run at carpentry doing new construction and home remodels 15 years ago. I even came out with a clever company name called Planes, Stains and Polyurethanes. Thanks for sharing and that is very cool about your daughter. I just switched to Milwaukee in the last couple years and they have me hooked. I agree with you on the M12/M18… the M12 line works great for me and the M12 fuel tools are as good as my older 18v stuff. I will have to check out those gloves. I don’t go to Lowes as often but that’s because I don’t care for the way my local store is managed..but I have to go there every now and then. Thank you for the suggestion. Organization is a lifelong thing I think, we never get it 100% how we like it. It’s trial and error. The garage is by far the hardest to me because you have to not only think about storage but about work flow. It’s funny.. I have thought about finishing my work career building furniture as well. Thank you. I really like the Vest so far. I will probably do a review on it soon. I’ve been waiting till I make my on camera “debut” because it’s the only way I can think to do it. I work primarily in conditioned spaces and not outside in 90 degree weather. I’m not sure if it would be too hot for that. I never get hot in mine. It is really comfortable. Thanks for watching!

Great video amazing organization skill but i do think you need a bigger cab truck them super cabs are annoying lol i have an ext cab gmc and love the truck but hate the door my tool situation is just kinda every where

Thanks for the comment. The way the doors open can be a bit of a pain if I park between two cars in a parking lot. That doesn't happen to me often when I need tools, more if people ride with me. You have to hug each other as you get in and out...lol The back seat in this is pretty roomy, bigger than other extended cabs I've had but not as much as the Super Crew (I've had one of those before too). I do like that I don't lose the bed room, I think it is around 1 to 1-1/2 feet. That's sometimes hard for longer materials and the Decked System drawers would be smaller. So more cab storage equals less bed storage. It's a trade off I guess. I agree with you though, I don't like the doors sometimes. If I would have had the choice (I couldn't pass up the price on this at the time I bought it) I would have probably bought a 4 door cab just because of that. Ideally I would like the bigger cab with a longer bed. Thanks again for your comment.

I’ve seen the Decked System in a few videos. I’m really impressed at just how many tools/ tool bags you were able to fit in just a single drawer of that system. I like your use of the decked box as a holder for miscellaneous items, but that you don’t necessarily need 4 of them to achieve organization, at least for your particular needs. Really helps to see some very good uses of space, and that goes for the front of the truck as well. Thank you for sharing. *I am curious about about your miter saw set-up. It looks like you are able to store your miter saw in what looks to me to be a fairly narrow space between the top of the Decked deck and the underside of your tonneau cover. What type of saw is it that you use?

It is a 10” Porter Cable that folds down pretty flat. Lowes used to sell it under Porter Cable, then the same saw as a SKIL, and now they sell it as a Craftsman. It is not a slider but I typically just use it for framing and flooring where I don’t need a lot of cut length. It folds down to a pretty thin dimension. It’s not my favorite saw in the world but I think I got it on sale for $99 and it doesn’t take up much room. Great for quick jobs. Thanks for watching and the compliments!

I have seen that saw as a Craftsman and later realized that it, like many of the initial offerings in the re-launched Craftsman lineup, had started out life as Porter Cable. I myself still have a Craftsman 7-1/4” that I purchased from a Sears Appliance and Hardware store back around 2006 before Sears went under. It is a slider, but just a single bevel and corded, but it has lasted for 10 plus years of moderate use. It’s understandable that the folding saw might have some limitations sacrificed for portability, but it’s pretty awesome that you found something that fits under the Tonneau cover and doesn’t need to ride up front in the passenger area, taking up room, attracting unwanted attention of would be thieves and worst of all, potentially becoming a missile in the event of an accident. I’ve bought all my Milwaukee stuff in the last 2 years… I don’t use every tool, every day. I do all sorts of different work.where someone who does one thing might use all the same tools everyday, they get high use, mine gets spread out. I also clean all my tools after each job, usually before even putting them in my truck. It only takes a few minutes if you keep up with it. I’m a neat freak on certain things. Certain customers have hired me (or the company I once worked for) specifically because the person is clean and the job site stays clean. Some customers don’t care, but in my experience those are the lowest bid acceptors( not always, but generally) That’s not my customer. My customer is the one who calls and says I HAVE a job for you. You will get more repeat customers if you are on time, do a good job, and aren’t messy. People may not agree with that… but it’s what I’ve seen.

If they are still out of stock on the dividers, you could have someone 3d print them.

I did finally get another set. I think I finally got a set about 3 months later. I need to find someone with a 3D printer though, there are lots of things I would like to have that work with Packout that I see out there. I’ve thought about buying one, but I’m not sure I have the time to learn how to use it. Thank you for the suggestion, and for taking the time to watch and comment. I have them in a plastic container with several sizes. It’s a container that came with one of my veto bags. I only store a few sleeves of multiple sizes in the bag. Enough to do any job that comes up as a surprise (work order/ service call). If I know I’m doing a lot of trim I have an organizer that I throw in the truck full of nails. That’s the same thought process with everything - blades, screws, etc. The bigger jobs I already know what I’m getting into so I can load up my truck then. For daily stuff I try to keep it to a minimum. That helps me stay organized, less stuff to dig through, and it is easier to store. That obviously won’t work for everyone but it does for me since I’m usually close to my bulk supplies. Thanks for the compliment and the question….and for subscribing! (I just got the notification)

They came in some Milwaukee Blade Kit deals on Black Friday last year at Home Depot. That is the only time I’ve seen them and I didn’t know they had the image on it from the package. I thought it was just going to be a standard zipper bag. I’m sure they will probably run some again, maybe soon for Father’s Day.

I'd watch a brake job too.

I haven’t had any issues with the weather in my area. I don’t keep my batteries in it. My winters are normally a little below freezing and summers in the 90’s

Had an old 18v battery sitting around, so I pulled the trigger when I saw Lowe’s doing a a bogo. Also picked up the planer. Don’t want to heavily invest on the Bosch, but I currently have my eyes on that 12v brushless router

Sorry for the late reply. KZread put this in my comment "Under Review" tab that I never check. If you have the 18V and don't have an SDS drill but need one, they are super nice. For 18V, I have kept my SDS Drill, a few vacuums, and my grinder but have switched everything else . As far as 12V I had the original Flexi-Click drill and liked it but I switched to M12 because it was brushless and had more power. With the Bosch I carried it bt have to keep something else with me in case I needed more power. Bosch has recently came out with a Brushless model and though I haven't used it, It has the same Torque specs as the M12 Installation Driver. The old one didn't have enough umph to put in 3" screws and the M12 does no problem. The heads on the Bosch were better than the M12 though. (The best Bosch 12V tool I have is my Green 3 plane laser....It is so good. I had all the Bosch12v impacts and drills and they are ok but not even close to the M12 Fuel's. I've looked at the router a few times myself and haven't pulled the trigger. One day if I catch it on sale maybe.

That's right. It's disappointing for Milwaukee to nickle and dime us on simple extra plastic dividers. Probably the main reason why 3D print enthusiasts are filling that void.

I haven’t yet and I honestly have no idea why not 😂. I have always just kept tools in the bags because I seem to fit more than with hard cases. The drawers have slightly tapered edges and some boxes fit good and some don’t without leaving space underneath them. However, it is funny you comment that because I just watched a video a few days ago (I can’t remember who it was) and they had the single organizers laying in theirs. They looked like they fit pretty good. I have been meaning to try it for myself. I think loading up organizers in the drawers on certain jobs would be helpful. After I unload for this job I am doing I will try it out and let you know. Thanks for the question!

@@MORGANSMaintenance I’ve been holding off on getting the Decked system since the drawers aren’t 100% Waterproof. Have you had time to try the Packout yet inside the drawers? What about the Blue Decked boxes. Are they waterproof? How many of their boxes would fit in each drawer? And how well do your Milwaukee power tools fit in them? I use bags for my tools and they work great. I can easily open the drawer, pull out the tool I need and walk right into the job site. I don’t carry a lot of “big tools” the M18 nail gun is probably the biggest thing I carry all the time. Could fit a little Bigger. The Packout organizers do fit, but they need to be pre-locked together. Not enough room to do that in the drawer. On the picture with how many Blue Decked boxes I can fit, that is how many can fit on my truck. If your bed is shorter or longer your drawers will be too. They are a custom fit. Those boxes are water proof and you could fit tools in them. I don’t use them for that because with any hard case there will always be unused, wasted space. That’s why I use bags. You could put loose tools in them if you wanted too, but I would think things like drills and smaller tools only. Also, I have never got water in my drawers… but I do have a cover on 90% of the time. I have had rain without the cover and still didn’t get any water in my drawers… so far. Anyway, check out the pictures and see if they answer your questions. @@MORGANSMaintenance Unfortunately, I don’t have a cover on my truck. And since I carry a few ladders regularly. I know they wouldn’t fit once the Decked box gets installed. I’m in Pennsylvania. And my main area of travel during certain times of each year, gets foggy and misty quite regularly. With my power and hand tool investment going over $1,500. I can’t run the risk of anything getting wet! But your comment about using bags regularly got me thinking. I’m now considering purchasing the Decked unit. But before I put any bags inside. I’m going to treat each bag with a waterproofing application. Even though the zippers could possibly allow some moisture to gain entry. I would think that everything inside should still be protected! It’s to bad that Decked doesn’t work directly with some of the major tool companies. Like Milwaukee, DeWalt, Rigid, Kobalt and Craftsmen to design drawers that would work seamlessly with each company’s storage boxes. Obviously some of the larger boxes wouldn’t work. But many of the smaller ones would! Maybe one or more of them will begin implementing this in future designs! I’ll follow up if I can’t access the photos. Thank you for your input!

Soooooooo.... I'm not usually the guy that criticizes other videos, BUT, it seems that every tool bag and every tool this man carries looks brand new. Did he hit the lottery? Does he shill for Milwaukee? With a regular job and side work, his tools should look a little worn. Most of my tools are 5 years or less and they are beat to hell. Anybody else wonder the same?

I clean my tools and my truck after every job. A lot of my Milwaukee tools are 2 years old or less though. I just got switched into the Milwaukee Line. Cleanliness is what separates me from the competition. A lot of people can get the job done, but when someone sees someone get the job done, in a clean way, and their space not be left a mess… you just got a life long client. Some customers don’t care and just want the job done, and in my experience those same customers want 5 estimates to save $5. Not my customer. I have commented this before but it’s all perspective and every customer has one. I can see someone who has dirty tools and think “they work hard” or “they don’t take pride in their stuff, what makes me think they will take pride in my job” I can see someone with a clean truck and tools and think “this person must never use these” or “this person takes pride in what they do, and that’s who I wan’t working on my stuff” The customer could be completely wrong either way (you can have dirty tools and still take pride in what you do, or have clean tools and not)… but it’s how they see it. It doesn’t bother me if someone cleans their own stuff or beats it to crap… I just choose to go my route for myself because I don’t want to hand out business cards or do pointless estimates. I always appreciate the critiques, suggestions, advice, recommendations, etc. Thanks for taking the time to comment 👍

Yes I do, but I typically know I will need those heading into that job. If I know I am I put them in the truck prior to leaving for the day. If I’m mortising doors or something. I try and keep things that I will run into on service type calls on the truck. I’m also usually never far from those type tools.
